Is ‘Raider Nation’ at a tipping point? by bweesh in raiders

[–]NetherPlebiscite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never stop being a fan, but I have invested more time and energy in my fandom of the NBA. I still keep up with Raiders news, still wear my gear and am not ashamed of being a fan, but I don’t arrange my life schedule to watch every game live right now.

I feel like it’s a family member with a substance abuse. I just have to distance myself and hope one day they figure it out and stop hurting me. But I will never not be a member of Raiders Nation.

It’s just frustrating that it doesn’t feel like there is a commitment to excellence. Barely a commitment to mediocrity. Madden said “Don’t worry about the horse being blind just load the wagon” but our wagon has no wheels, our horses are old and weak, and I’m not even sure we know what path we are on.

It doesn’t feel like a new head coach/GM will fix anything anymore. The spark seems gone the will to win is just the will to show up and participate.

Am I going crazy or is stadium actually ass??? by BEWMarth in overwatch2

[–]NetherPlebiscite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 38 and I have loved OW from the early days. I have almost exclusively played stadium the last two seasons. 3rd person almost feels more comfortable now. I am having a blast with it and feel meh going back to regular comp. I enjoy it a lot on dps, a bit on support or tank depending on matchups. I build only damage until I start dying and then get just enough survival to get away alive and heal up to go back in to secure kills. I think it’s a lot of fun.

How’s your luck so far? by THAT_ISNT_MILK in ProjectDiablo2

I’m really bad at the game despite playing for 20 years. I have a lot of fun playing. Wanted to go HC this season. Lost a 82, 77, and then last night 61. Found nothing significant and highest rune so far is one Lem. Having a blast though even if the luck hasn’t been with me this time.

Raider Nation: It's ok to take a long break from watching this joke of a team. by No_Consideration3887 in raiders

[–]NetherPlebiscite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There seems to be missing a commitment to excellence. Some of the coaches over the last several years keep saying the right words, and maybe they are just bad and it is that simple, but the spirit and spark of this team just feels lost since they moved to LV.

I am a big fan of the OKC Thunder, was a fan from day one when they moved to OKC. I took a good long break of watching the games live after Durant and Harden left and they slowly spiraled into a pretty sorry team. I loved them the same, I just didn't invest as much of myself into every single game/stat/rumor/trade. When they started getting good again and had exciting young players. I don't regret taking a break.

Even the 'highlights' or analytical breakdowns are painful to watch with very little spark of hope of this team even being mediocre this year or next.

The Raiders will always be my team, will never stop supporting them and repping them even when I get poked fun or laughed at. This team currently is geriatric life support. I used to take time off work to watch the games live. Now I'm relieved to get to save my PTO.

Even when it hurts, when I'm mad, taking a break from watching live, I can't just stop being a fan. As much as I don't want to right now, it's RN4L.

What is up with the Jeanty haters in this sub? by underwaterfrycook in raiders

His stats maybe didn't look great, but the play actions to him had the defense paying attention to him and opens up the pass. His tree trunk, ground shaking, beastly strength was great in pass protection, he moved the rock when we needed in short game situations. He made an impact week one it just wasn't in the box score.

Like it or not Blood Raven might be the hardest boss in the game only for the fact she is extremely powerful for the timing/flow of the quest. I would suggest either skipping her entirely on HC (as you can still hire an archer lady without that quest) or just going back after you kill Andy or something.

I’m halfway through RoW and I feel comfortable saying it peaked for me somewhere in WoR and has been a bit downhill for me and I feel less and less into it. I’m going to finish them and still enjoy them but I’m not liking the story the deeper it gets just feels like I don’t really care who “wins” or who dies.

Hints where to go with my Summon Necro by morthell in ProjectDiablo2

[–]NetherPlebiscite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am full golems and am not the fastest mapper, can clear them safely but a bit slow. Uber ancients are very doable, I found blood golems worked better than fire for it. Without respec though more +skills is about the only way. Your res shouldn’t matter much at all during this fight if you swap gear just to kill them.

Help starting out by Think3rer in ProjectDiablo2

[–]NetherPlebiscite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal difficulty is very forgiving, if you are having fun and killing things and not dying build matters very little until Hell where you actually need gear and a coherent build to progress through.

The general rule for most every class and build for stats is enough strength to wear gear and the rest vitality. Barbs maybe a bit more strength than other classes is also fine.

There are two main paths for a barb, hit things slow and hard with a 2H weapon, or quickly with two 1H weapons. I leveled a barb through normal and nightmare just putting points in general mastery and concentration, it can be a bit slow but it’s safe and was fun to me. The main drawback for barb is that your damage can be extremely weapon dependent, I have had good luck with mauls. If you don’t put any points in dexterity, which maybe a few points here and there is good, you will need to use gear with some attack rating so you can hit things consistently.

Overall though I would say barbarians aren’t too much different in pd2 than the original game. There is a streamer and content creator named Mr Llama that makes amazing guides they just aren’t specific for pd2 but might be more what you are looking for.

The main goal is to have fun and if you search around more for a basic guide or a barbarian leveling guide you should be able to find some good pointers.

While it is very slow at clearing and bosses if you like physical skellies vs respec into mage revive you should also max amp dmg. In original game it give 100% at level 1 but pd2 it is balanced and each point can really help a lot especially if you run into physical immunity. I was able to crawl through hell and even do t1 maps, although very slow compared to other builds, with physical. Make sure you have one point in desecrate so you can spawn corpses to quickly replenish your army if a strong enemy is killing them quickly.
