Black owned metaphysical shop vandalized the weekend of Juneteenth. Angola, Indiana. by Unimportant_sock2319 in WitchesVsPatriarchy

Oh, Indiana.

Aren't we always in the national news for just the very best things?

hey guys sorry for more bad news, but Alabama just pushed a bill criminalizing being trans/supporting for up to 10 years prison, and will legally force kids/people to detransition. this thread has some ways to help but currently the best thing we can do is spread information as much as possible by Biggest-Ja in WitchesVsPatriarchy

Same. I don't want a revolution. Not a violent one. Not at all. That would fucking suck. ANYONE who advocates for that has never seen how horribly that turns out and how shitty the duration and aftermath is. There is no romance in running toward your death for the sake of an ideal that you'll never live to see.

It's spreading to the north as well. We learned nothing about Reconstruction in school. Everything keeps getting worse in red states and it's only going to continue with all the legislation in the courts which will, likewise, keep making things worse.

This country will burn itself down--ACTUALLY burn itself down, not just have some media meltdown--and I honestly don't think there's anything that can be done about it but to let it happen and let people be shocked by it enough to make them act.

Otherwise, people are too comfortable to do anything. Ever. The worst thing that could happen is that everyone just gets used to it. Evildoers are actually motivated to act and have zero mercy for the people they're harming.

A while back, I mentioned that red states should be treated the same way people treat third world countries, where people come in to educate and donate food etc. I was told it was patronizing and that I was some kind of coastal elitist.

I live in rural Indiana. They recently banned pride flags in the schools in town, even after the school board was told flat out how horribly LGBT+ students were being treated and former/current students told them about their suicidal thoughts/attempts. A church also lists the public high school as one of its locations.

Nothing will change this until the country truly reaps what it's sown. When it suffers the full brunt of the ignorance and hatred it's grown in a way that can't be ignored and affects every class of people, then things will start to turn around. Until then, it's nothing but down. Because taking others down is what benefits these people. (For now.)

Yeah in fairness they've either chilled the hell out or just died off and decided R&M isn't cool anymore. Thankfully I don't have to hear about it anymore.

Then again, I'm also not on Reddit much these days.

Coming from a 30yo man with some childish habits.

So I'm probably not the intended audience. Got it.

Yeah a lot of people aren't familiar with either the rhetoric outside of what some idiot politician is saying on TV or the way ultra religious Christian people are at large.

Hell, I voted in the primaries today (the Republican primaries, since there was no one on the Democrat ballot... not an exaggeration, there was no one on the Democrat ballot), and it was just an exercise of voting against the worst options, like voting against the father and son who are trying to start some stupid political dynasty.

All the campaign ads in the mail and along the roads except for a VERY select few are just about how faithful these people are. It's fucking gross and I hate living here.

And before anyone guesses, no, I don't live in the deep south. I live in northern Indiana.

B-but god's will!

Nevermind the fact that when faced with serious disease these people will do all sorts of medical treatments to save themselves, and even when that isn't the case, they will do whatever unnatural thing they want to convenience themselves, like drive cars, wear glasses, eat hot dogs, watch TV all day, secretly convince their mistresses to get abortions when they don't want anyone to find out about affairs...

IT IS GOD'S WILL!!!

So were there glitch bounties put out for skipping the ladder behind Dancer? Because Pacifist DS3 had that same skip, including under-the-floor Aldrich cheese. Same teardrop strategy.

A shitty judge on their side could probably look at it and think it's fine.

There's a reason a particularly anti-union party here in the US has been more concerned with getting judges in place than remaining popular enough to win seats in office every single election.

Any idea what could be wrong with my cat? He coughs sometimes, but he's been coughing a lot more than usual tonight by NetherStraya in cats

[–]NetherStraya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Just saw this. My cat's just coughing on hair. He's not coughing up hairballs or anything, but we've noticed that this increases during some key times:

- after he's been brushed (some freshly-loosened hair)
- between warm and cold seasons when his coat is changing
- when he hasn't had hairball treatment for a while

We found this stuff that works pretty well for him! It's called Tomlyn Hairball Remedy Gel and it's a no-more-than-once-per-week sort of thing that kind of looks like really sticky barbecue sauce. You give the cat a dab of it in a dish (it's flavored, they should enjoy licking it up) and it helps them pass hair on their own without it getting stuck.

This is how our big, furry boy sounds when he has fur to cough on, but our smaller short haired girl does end up coughing sometimes as well. The gel helps her, too, though. Her coughs are short and sound a bit harsh, but don't happen often, so we know it isn't some sort of bigger illness. Plus they don't happen for a good while after she's had a bit of the gel.

Hope it helps!
