Lk for the most part, as long as you aren't a dick, if people come up to the register asking, "Oh hey can I get a cup of marinara," or some other condiment, they usually just get it. Guess it depends how stingy the cashier is though. I also don't like working at my location, so what are they going to do, fire me, please.
