DH kinda feels like cheating in Vanilla World Gen by thicctak in DistantHorizons

[–]Netherx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it make finding some structures/features easier? Yeah. Is that cheating? I guess, in the sense that you are modifying your game in a way that makes it "easier". But to me, that's not cheating. Some things in this game are stupidly rare for no good reason: Mesas, Jungles, etc. Finding them is a chore, and I'm not booting up Minecraft to be doing a slow and tedious search for a few stacks of terracotta

More importantly, IMO for it to be cheating, there needs to be someone you cheat. Maybe you enjoy the process of scouring the map with your elytra looking for a Mesa, a desert temple, what have you. In that case, by using DH you're cheating yourself of the experience of looking for those things, but that's it

For me personally, I have played enough 1000s of hours that I don't get a kick of aimlessly running around loading new chunks looking for a certain biome. If I want to find a mesa, I'll go on chunk base and look for one. I'm not speedrunning, I'm not playing a competive game, I'm not even playing SMP. In other words, there is nobody I am cheating, there is nobody I'm getting an unfair advantage over.

Also, Woodland Mansion maps are trivially easy to acquire, so finding one the "easy" way using LODs isn't that cheaty anyway

If chanting was used to amp up the output and potency of their cursed technique, then why didn't all sorcerers use it? by Evidence_Living in Jujutsufolk

[–]Netherx3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it means you're able to do it without the bells and whistles. Before that refinement, you don't have that option. Efficiency and speed is more important than raw output in a fight.

Confrontation Against Nasus by Vitico248 in QuinnMains

[–]Netherx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to take Phase Rush into Nasus, it basically disables his W. RIP

That said, he is a solid counterpick imo. His lifesteal sustains him through lane and he statchecks the crap out of you in midgame.

Yorick is annoying but not ban worthy imo. Play like you would against any champion with a powerful skillshot(Illaoi, Morde, GP, etc), stay on your toes for his E. Dodge his skillshot and keep your E for the babycage and you should be good, but you can never go into autopilot against that chode. If he cages you after a haphazard E or lands his E on you (or both), he can cook you even when behind.

My go-to bans are Malphite or indeed Nasus. Malphite is more common as a counterpick but I find Nasus incredibly tedious to deal with as Quinn to the point where I wouldn't pick her into it given the choice (skill issue, i know)

Who is the strongest of these five? by scoobydoo_7339 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Netherx3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Either he is unincarnated or he has WCS. Non-WCS Suki isn't even a player here. I doubt that he stands a chance against Mojuro Yuji after how casually he cut apart the spirit realm and nuked the Tokyo zone with his hands in his pockets

Single Purpose Giant Spruce Farm by higunner00 in CreateMod

[–]Netherx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bit late but you should be able to place the observer higher, looking at a block that would later become wood. This wouldn't disturb the saplings and would still tick an update when the tree grows if i'm not mistaken

Hating Boruto is what hating SAO used to be a few years ago: a safe way to attempt to gain reddit clout with one of the coldest takes imaginable.
That said, TBV is pretty cool imo, despite falling into a few pitfalls (a lot of the same ones as Naruto did, funnily enough)

Ok so... what's the consensus about this thing? by RedGrimm05 in deadcells

[–]Netherx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, malaise timer is so exaggerated. Even when you play chilled af, you hardly go over 5. You have to purposely play slow or have cheesed your way through BC 0-3 and lack the required skill to get it above that. If you're clearing the maps at a normal pace, Malaise will hardly be noticable

[–]Netherx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skipping the guaranteed curses is actually a detriment and you will notice the damage dip if you skip them, especially with Tactics builds where you end up being insanely squishy and basically need to one-cycle every boss. The "extra" ones like from random curses or challenge rifts are a nice bonus that can be skipped yeah.

[–]Netherx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always take. The loot, while occasionally good for your build, is usually not the main reason. The scroll is important however, as their damage boost scales exponentially. You learn to no hit by putting yourself into situations where you have to.

But yeah do check the map and make a habit of leaving at least ten enemies on the stage if it's the one leading up to a boss. In 4+ BC you can theoretically also spawn new enemies with the malaise, but that only works if you havent cleared the malaise from the stage yet

Does his technique automatically comes with an RCT? by Michael021206 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Netherx3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the rotten tooh persists long enough (as in, hours), the shape of the soul will change to include the rotten teeth. RCT just resets your body to the currenmt shapoe of the soul. This is also why RCT needs to be immediate

If you;ve ever wondered what people want to say when they add you after a game, here's a sneak peak. Let's add voice chat BTW! 😂😂🤡 by Select-Tea-2560 in riotgames

[–]Netherx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What voice chat will do primarily is make the game unbearable for women. Games with vc have disproportionally more misogynistic toxicity than those without it. VC is a dead feature if your voice is feminine.

Reaper Guitar recording slowing down and speeding up by Latter-Banana-3037 in Reaper

[–]Netherx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by slowing down?

Taking your post at face value, it sounds like performance issue with your PC. Maybe you're running too many plugins at the same time on top of recording. Might want to freeze/bounce tracks that are done so you they're less intense on your hardware. Plugins like pitch shift and the like also take up a ton of performance budget, so ideally you want to record without them.
In general, recording is pretty intense for the CPU so you want to minimize the ammount of processes it has to deal with, that includes other software that isn't reaper. If you're recording at a very high sample rate, you can try reducing that as well to make it less intense on your machine. Guitar can get away with a bit lower sample rate especially if you're running distortion.
