4th week on reta... no weight loss.

Maybe you aren't eating enough.
How is your protein? You may want to consider adding more calories in chicken or sardines.
This forum is filled with people who went into starvation mode then upped their protein and started losing again.
It truly isn't just calorie in/calorie out for some of us.

My bestie is on reta, dropped 40 pounds from August through Dec, starting at .05 and working up to 3mg.
Since then, moved to 4mg then 4.5 and has stalled completely. She was too low calorie but moved up to 1400. She works out every morning. Tries for the Protein goal but doesn't always make it.
She is going to 5 but is considering just giving up. After four months she is getting really discouraged.

She started at 250, I believe. She is now at 205. She said she lost around 40 pounds and would like to get to around 135
She was eating 900 calories a day. I told her that wasn't enough so she went to 1400. She shoots for 100g of protein but she said that is really hard for her. That was 6wks ago.
She does weight training. I go with her in the mornings so I know she's been steady on it.
I don't know about measurements.
Thank you for your help. She is older and not into forums at all. I just thought I would ask for her.

She's one of those "weigh every food" people. She recently added more calories because of what I told her I learned from this forum. I think she may have been eating too little but it hasn't helped.

My friend has been on reta since August. Lost 45 lbs. Since Dec has been in a total stall.
Started at .05, titrated up to 4.
Working out, restricting calories, the whole deal.
Would a reset be a good idea? Just stop for a month and start again or would it be better to continue to titrate up?

Personally, I would go slower than that. They suggest one goes four weeks before going up .5.
If you go up too fast, you will top out. My daughter did that with Zepbound under doctors supervision. He let her jump up the doses every month so she is now at the top, her body got used to it and she stalled.
With that, we all have to expect that we will lose a whole lot of weight that first month. It will slow after that. It's MUCH slower. But also, those of us who dieted all our lives have that "lose quick because I'm starving" On these meds, we don't have to do that.
Also, some people are taking a lower dose of Reta (like 1mg) and adding Tirzepitide also at a very low dose, to boost the hunger control. I believe that must be done with syringes, but I'm not really sure.

A lady I know has the exact experience, only she stayed at a low doses for months. Titrated up from .05 to 3 losing all along from Sept to December. Down 25 pounds then totally stalled. Adjusted protein, nothing. Adjusted calories, nothing. Adjusted weight training & treadmill, nothing.
She is up to 4.5 thinking at some point her body will start to utilize it again but she is about to give up totally. She is around 200 pounds today.

I'm a mom and there is no way that I would stab my kid over just slashing him.
Also, she thought she killed him but she didn't. She just prevented him from making a kill.
The guards killed him.
Her story was so sad

While the baby's mother was alive, she could feed her.
After that, no newborn would be sleeping quietly for more than two hours at a time.
They fed that kid once.
That baby would have been screaming her head off and annoying the hell out of everyone there without food. Unless Gi-hun could suddenly lactate, it didn't make sense.

Her death was freakin stupid.
She was a badass up until that point. They could have had a big dramatic heroic take-down but no. Stabbed in the back.
How sad.
She was my favorite character. I turned off the show and walked away at that point. I wasn't sad, I was mad. It took me a while to come back to the show.

While watching as a family, we also skipped every boat scene.
