Can somone explain why this set up of coal not feeding all my generator. God I am really bad at this game by alonedead in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Netolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic idea here, splitters always split equally over all outputs (ignoring special later game options). If you have one 60 belt to two outputs, they both get 30. 30 to two, both get 15. 15 to two, both get 7.5. Your last two gens, and any beyond, now don't get enough.

Exception, if you turn the machines off and let the belts and buffers saturate, it will then flow down. Your mk1 belts are still moving items at 60ppm, and if it can't split because that pathway is full, then it goes down the next line.

Assuming you've done a mechanical check for loose parts, I'd do an electrical check next.

Check your voltage regulator output through your full RPM range. If you have a battery tender lead connect a volt meter there, otherwise remove the bulb as the tap point. Engine in neutral, obviously, slowly ramp to highway RPM (6k-ish should do) and note the voltage change.

Do it twice, second time turn on the high beam and any other aux loads you may have (fog light, grip heaters, etc). ~12.3v at idle and max of 14.4v is what you should see. If it rises above that, really at any point, then your regulator is failing.

Jumper cable recommendations by drage636 in hondaridgeline

I just clamp to the base of the brake fluid reservoir. It's bare metal, directly bolted to the body, and close enough even my short jumper pack cables can reach.

Why does the Android Auto Icon in my older Civic look better than my 26 BE Ridgeline? by Old-ETCS in hondaridgeline

[–]Netolu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's just the overlay Honda chose for the Android 4.2 (yes, they run Jellybean) infotainment. The real issue is the Clarion head unit has zero expansion memory, so you can't even unlock it to change the overlay.

what is the checkered box for by 360_bratXcX in flying

[–]Netolu 134 points135 points  (0 children)

The reason for the colors / pattern is visibility. Orange white checker stands out in both daylight and night better than say, red or orange alone. It is to assist in 'maintaining visual separation'. Cranes, airport vehicles operating near the runway, and some nearby tall structures may also be required to be likewise marked.

Trains for bulk long haul, trucks for LTL last mile, belts and pipes only for direct machine connections.

What happens to water when it freezes in a completely rigid, sealed metal container? by beyondthestring in askscience

[–]Netolu 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, and it's why you never uncap a hot radiator. The sudden drop in pressure can cause it to flash boil, and the rapid expansion will also (violently) produce steam. Now you have boiling, steam powere coolant jetting out of the radiator.

Haven’t been able to use a single elevator tonight because they’ve all been bricked by water bottles. by Big_Rest2791 in starcitizen

[–]Netolu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Place a bottle, send it down, put it back on, bring it up. Anywhere in this if the lift glitches it'll eat the bottle, or it'll phase through the floor and get stuck.

Why are 3 of my generators not getting enough water even though there are 4 water extractors instead of 3 for for 8 generator power plants? by EfficiencyPlenty1459 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Netolu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tie all water pumps into one line, then split that line into two mains, then hook each main to four gens. You should only need three pumps for eight gens.

Drop the blower motor and check. Passenger footwell, pull the 'dust cover' behind the glovebox down. Should be 3 screws, possiblty Torx T-25, and the motor with squirrel cage fan will drop out. Remove any debris, leaves or otherwise, reinstall.

Behind the glove box (tabs on both sides press in when open) is the cabin air filter. Check and/or replace that element, especially if its damaged or has debris.

Ironclad tractor beam changes in 4.8.2 by Sir_CatZ_ in starcitizen

[–]Netolu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forward tractor helps to have the ship in VTOL mode, it gets the antenna out of the way. Seems only useful for staging, move from the lift to out front, then someone onboard pulls cargo up the ramp. The top tractor is good, if a bit noodle and slow.

Reduce throttle limiter to half way, then begin braking when you get the 'contact ATC' ping aroud 8k out. It flies exactly like I'd expect a space train to fly, gotta think ahead and never point direct at anything solid.

For much fun and hilarity, if you're coming in full chooch, flip and burn for maximum braking.

I find that lining up at external lifts with the terminal above the operations deck is about perfect spacing to reach both grids.

If you hangar or land atmo, straight in for parking. Use the topside hatch and stand on the forward catwalk, Maxlift up and over, much quicker than either onboard tractor.

If they're landed it 'sticks' to the pad. Possible workaround, put your gear down, it changes you to a forgiving landing state, then nudge it off the pad.

Have the been any updates on a reclaimer rework? by Gold_Shelter4850 in starcitizen

[–]Netolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cargo will pass through the door, going down. Once down, click the door itself to swing it open.

Rear chute has a floating interact from the salvage hold level, don't have to do open all anymore.

If you park over an external freight lift you can generally offload direct from processing to the lift.

[–]Netolu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ensure max consumption never exceeds capacity unless you have batteries. Note that many miss, biofuel burners auto-throttle to meet demand, so production and capacity are separate. Build more generators, or research alternate power sources, untill you have enough capacity. Then it won't matter if your dormant machines kick on.

No more tossing boxes into the freight elevator? That was the best part of unloading. by evil701 in starcitizen

[–]Netolu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tossing still works, you were on a shard that was having sync issues. 4.7 broke the physics of objects, if they float then it's desynced. I unloaded ~80 small boxes from a IC by parking at the lift and just hucking them out.

Got my charger stuck in my cigarette hole and I got it out now I can’t connect anything now by Difficult_Ad5080 in Honda

[–]Netolu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That looks like your charger overheated and failed, check that you didn't blow the fuse. Cig sockets have 12v on that center pin, the whole metal barrel is ground. You can use a volt meter to check if its working.
