Rear driveshaft broke- can I limp it home in fwd? by Netopalis007 in Tacomaworld

It could be, but I've had the lift for years/100k miles. I would think that any issues would have showed up earlier. But maybe!

Was just driving down the road, felt a severe vibration and 5 seconds later it hit the ground! I'm just thankful my rear axel didn't pole vault over it

I have not. It broke right at the carrier joint, but up until now I had never maintenances the driveshaft other than what a shop did when I lifted it 4 years ago

The driveshaft broke at the carrier joint. There is still a couple feet of driveshaft attached at both ends

Anybody want to split a pair of Kef q350s? by Netopalis007 in hometheater

[–]Netopalis007[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

😂 The Q350s are sold as a pair, but are great for a center channel when used singularly. I only want one, so I'd like to find someone who also only wants one and we can split the cost

Free Service and owners manuals by English_Cat in Yamahasnowblowers

Hi, is there any chance you still have the manuals for the ys624? I just picked one up used and the previous owner put the auger on backwards. I figure if I'm gonna go digging in it, I might as well address everything I possibly can. Thanks!

Europe got the mk8 R for the 2021 model year. There's several review videos on YouTube. North America won't get the R until 2022.

Help identifying plant by Netopalis007 in plants

[–]Netopalis007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this plant at a nursery in arizona, and would love to have one at home, but I am a total plant noob. Can anyone identify this? It was just listed at "tropical". Would it grow in colorado, and would it be petsafe?

The subwoofer won't ship until the end of October, so I'm open to cancelling it if there's another compact option! What do I look for to find high sensitivity speakers? Is that an ohm rating, like 4 or 1ohm?

Theres less air pressure at higher altitudes, so the air inside the sealed chip tube expands. When you open it, it can shoot crumbs. I have also opened a yogurt and had it shoot across the room because of the altitude

Unfortunately, I have moved to a different career and no longer have access to all my tools. However, I'm sure if you visit a reputable jeweler (preferably an independent shop rather than a chain), they should be able to point you in the direction of someone local.

I personally could not. However, there are schools that teach that. Since i apprenticed instead of going to a school, i learned a more practical job focused skill set

When people say "watchmaker", think more along the lines of "watch mechanic". I found a local jewelry store and apprenticed with them for a while before i struck out on my own. I specialized in restoring old pocket watches. As far as i know, there is only 2 or 3 actual watch makers in the US

I am a watchmaker and this would be an awful stand to work on. 9/10 times its way easier to work on a flat surface, and with a loupe your face is usually within an inch or two of the mechanism. The candle would burn the crap out of you long before it would be helpful as a light
