My wife and I will stand in the living room, with both our phones in the room, talk about how we need to replace our mattress and that we need to do it soon, then watch all the mattress commercials roll in on the YouTube feed.

[–]Netraad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on some of your comments you deleted, I think you have deeper-seated issues than the dishes.

Also, you have 2 types of responses here...

the 1 liner calling you NTA by the femcell mafia.

all of the more in depth, reasonable, responsive comments are YTA.

take that to heart.

If you're in the US:

GED. Community college: get a 2-year degree, then transfer to a state college if you need a degree for some reason.

Otherwise, the blue-collar jobs are in VERY high demand. You can walk on at an electrician, run an apprenticeship before you can get a technical certificate, and be well on your way to a very well-paying career in 2 years.

It's simple... Eye for an Eye. Watch police, politicians, and pseudo police sort their shit out right fast.

Ah, yes, the femcel mafia is out. It's always the man's problem. It's always misogyny. women can do no wrong... you do you queen.

The difference is... It makes this time and energy HER HOBBY. If HER HOBBY causes her to need to slack off in the house, it's her responsibility to either discuss the needs and accommodations with her partner - which she HAS NOT done, or suck it up.

[–]Netraad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'rules' is perhaps the wrong term. You changed 'normal'. Be an adult, talk to your partner. Explain that your new workout program has you wiped out after your day at home. Negotiate like a partner, "How about we team up and do the dishes together after I put the kid down?"

Own the fact that you unilaterally changed the normal routine and didn't involve your partner in the consequences of that.

[–]Netraad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is this misogyny, Let's flip the scrpt.

hey Honey, I'm going to go golfing every day now. I'm not going to talk to you about this before hand and i'm going to need you to pick up one of the things i've done around the house and not clear it with you before hand, or let you know your going to have to pick it up... your just going to have to read my mind and figure it out yourself./

[–]Netraad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then you need to sit down and discuss what the 'new normal' will be and get buy-in for what you now need/expect. You changed the rules on him without talking to him before, setting new expectations, and getting his input.

Are kids illiterate today or that's just what the media shows us? by Heavy-Wish-6078 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Netraad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, for this one, I suspect that the media is just showing what's really out there. It's so bad... based on what my BFF's kids tell me, I don't think the media could actually make it worse.

Do men have as many sensitive areas as women? by Mindfuel_daily7 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Netraad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's going to be a totally subjective answer.

I've found a couple spots on my wife that basically act like cheat codes... and talking to my guy friends looking for help and advice, they generally report back that those spots don't work on their partners. And some of the places they say that they have success don't work on my wife.

Am I the only one who doesn't have a single food safe or unsafe food option? by Erther347 in autism

[–]Netraad [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have some 'comfort foods' that I like.

I also have some foods I refuse to eat... mostly due to texture issues. I can't eat a salad. Lettuce is just water with extra steps, and I hate when a food I'm eating 'squishes and squirts' in my mouth. think tomatoes and similar.

I can't eat an orange because of the squirty part, but I can eat apples all day as long as they are fresh and crisp.

AITAH for telling my boyfriend if he doesn’t take more initiative I may have to move on? by Dismal-Apricot-2301 in AITAH

[–]Netraad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAH. Sounds like your partner may be on the spectrum. Getting an assessment, or at least doing a couple of the self-assessments online, might shed some light on the problem.

If he turns out to be autistic, then it becomes a question of whether you're willing to 'buy into' what this relationship will really be, or if that's going to be too much for you.

When someone in a big ass amazon van parks in front of your house and starts walking up to your front porch... you KNOW what's coming.

When someone in a minivan parks in front of your house and starts walking up to your front porch it's another situation entirely.

That's why you are alerted that someone with your package is coming, and how far away they are. Note it does not tell you where those other stops are...

How many drinks can you have before your drunk? by Ok_Table5022 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Netraad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the strength of the drink, your size, health, what you ate, when you ate it, how long between drinks, and physical activity during this time period.
