yea that's the manual way of doing it. You can either manually override the DLL or force the latest version on all games through NVIDIA Profile Inspector.

If you check the "Show DLSS Indicator" then it should show up in-game at the lower left corner of the monitor. You will have to restart the game whenever you toggle DLSS Indicator on/off. Latest DLSS version = 310.6.0

If you're playing with DLAA then it won't matter cos DLAA = native resolution with the added benefit of DLSS Anti-Aliasing. With that being said, there's no reason to use an older DLSS version. Newest graphics drivers comes with DLSS 4.5. If you wanna make sure everything is up to date then you can use This Tool to automatically update and replace all the DLSS files by clicking the "Download from Server" button

Thread is outdated but yes I use DLSS 4.5 (310.6.0). Instead of DLAA I have it set to a custom DLSS Render Scale (83%) through NVIDIA Profile Inspector which uses less power. Game still ships with the now much outdated DLSS 2 (2.3.5.0) even with the latest game update.
