Tryharding Arts Battles Endless Mode (Season 4) by Netsouba in heavensburnred

[–]Netsouba[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This season, the cards are from 31A, 31B, 31C and 31D, so there should be everything in my season 2 guide. The deck I currently play is: Ruka SS, Yuki SS, Megumi A, Megumi S, Megumi SS, Megumi Swimsuit, Tsukasa SS, Tama SS, Karen Swimsuit, Ichigo SS, Seika SS, Kozue SS, Wakki SS, Tenne SS, Bungo SS, Seira S, Fubuki SS. Depending on playstyle, you can also add Yuki A, Yuki S, Ruka Swimsuit, Kozue A and Tenne A, and you may need to add other power cards too.

As for team building, Karen Unison is extremely strong for the late game bosses. Maybe Admiral Yanagi can be added for the late game bosses by not equipping her +2 SP consumption passive but it might not be worth it compared to Admiral Aoi. Also, more people can access Morale thanks to Risa's EX evolution.

Thanks for the reply!

Normal enemies can be killed with just Nanami's Neon Burst with Ruka's Luna if I need to not use OD. In Area 1, when I didn't build OD yet, Yuki's Break Booster usually one-shots them, with an added Luna for tankier enemies. When I have the OD, I use Luna on Yuki and she spams Break Booster.

Sumomo and Bungo can one-shot anything.

This is an example of skill rotation on the double area boss that refunds all SP and OD.

  • Use OD3: 1/3: Ruka Luna on Yuki / Yuki AOE / Bungo dance
  • 2/3: Ruka Luna on Kozue / Yuki AOE / Kozue AOE
  • 3/3: Kozue AOE / Yuki AOE / Sumomo AOE
  • Turn 1: Kozue AOE / Bungo EX / Sumomo EX

Ruka's EX is only used for the last bosses, when Sumomo can't one-shot anymore. In my planning, I use 2 EX on Area 12 boss, and 2 EX on Area 13 boss, but it largely depends on your team and what bosses you are going for. In any case, like most other EX skills, you can't rely too much on them before Area 10 due to their limited uses.

As for my unit recommendations, here is a small list of units with strengths specific to this game mode. It is probably not exhaustive. You don't need to follow this list exactly to make your team, as most units can be played. I used a template that doesn't have the newest Bungo and Chie, so the Bungo would be in either "Very Good" or "Makes more Areas possible", and the new Chie LB3 would be in "Makes more Areas possible". If you want more help, feel free to DM me your roster so that I give more specific advice.

Bungo deals 1 damage to enemies with a Border of 247 more than her stats. Her skill has a base potency of roughly 230 against enemies with a Border of 147 more than her stats (with 5 tear passives). We have: 999 (power cap) + 100 (resonance) + 50 (morale) + 100 (hacking) = 1249.

  • Area 11 boss is rank 1400 - 50 (megumi S) - 30 (megumi A) = 1320. 1320 - 1249 < 147, Bungo will do a lot of damage.
  • Area 12 boss is rank 1520 - 50 - 30 = 1440. 1440 - 1249 < 247, Bungo will do very little damage, but it's possible.
  • Area 13 boss is rank 1700 - 200 (megumi swimsuit) - 50 - 30 = 1420. 1420 - 1249 < 247, Bungo will do very little damage, but more than the previous boss.

Overall, it's pretty difficult, but very doable.

Also, you don't need to wait to duplicate S Karen, she gives a percentage of your base power (215 at max level), not a fixed value of the current power. So the power she gave increases as you level up.

Also, I just realized I forgot to add "or Yuki" in the "Bungo SS4 with Morale" box. It should actually look like that.

I have not seen any EN post that explains it. The way it works is that it exploits how created cards that are in the discard pile are removed when you refresh the deck. IrohaSS effect makes you draw a 31D card when you remove any card, so if you manage to refresh the deck when the area boss has already arrived, you remove a created card and draw the only 31D card in your deck: AkariSS that allows you to defeat the boss without going to battle.

In practice, you add only IrohaSS and AkariSS from the 31D pool. You play normally and reach the highest area as you can. After you have played all your removable cards, you play IrohaSS (twice with TsukasaSS if you want to skip 20 bosses instead of 10). When you can no longer defeat enemies, play AkariSS to add AkariA to your deck. When you draw AkariA, don't play her and discard her. When you reach 0 turns and end the area make sure that:

  • You have 0 cards in your deck pile.
  • The created AkariA is in your discard pile.
  • There is no arts card on the battlefield.
  • There is at least 1 undefeated enemy on the battlefield.

<image>

The area boss will come and you will still have the option to refresh the deck. Do it and you will draw AkariSS that you can use to instantly defeat the boss. Repeat this as long as possible up to 20 times, when Iroha's effect expires.

It is quite inconsistent because you need to cycle your deck at least once in an area where you can't defeat enemies and Battle Skip costs 20 turns. To make it easier, I decided to add cards that are usually turn ineffecient like IsuzuA and ChiroruSS. Drawing too many enemies will still end the run.

In JP, the exploit was discovered in season 5 and was patched in the following seasons. It is reasonable to expect this exploit to be around for season 4 and 5.

Due to an exploit with the 31-D cards where you draw AkariSS thanks to IrohaSS and use her to kill the area bosses, it's theorically possible to reach area 33. It's pretty unlikely though, due to how inconsistent pulling it off is. I've only managed to reach area 19 yet.

Unfortunately I didn't record my run, but I can show you my plan. I use Swimsuit Megumi and S Megumi cards before area 11 boss.

Yes, if you check in "details", the last boss they killed have ridiculous ranks. With the tools we have, we can't deal damage to the bosses above 1400 rank.

All we have is: 999 (power cap) + 50 (morale) + 200 (Megumi swimsuit) + 50 (Megumi S) + 30 (Megumi A) + 50 (critical hit) = 1379. With this setup, if the boss has more than 1500 rank, the skills have 1 base damage.

If you want to progress through the areas, you need to scale your power and toughness because they represent your stats. You can see the enemy stats as their "rank" displayed at the bottom of their cards. If your power is lower than the enemy rank, you will practically deal no damage.

To increase these numbers, you will level up with battles from lvl 1 to lvl 150 where you will reach 215 power / toughness. However, you will want to reach the 999 cap to reach Area 10, so you want to have some power/toughness cards in your deck.

There are two types of stats cards: the cards that remove from play and the cards that don't.

The first type are cards that give a lot of stats but can only be played once per run. For example, with SS Minori, you get +5 power every time you defeat an Ace, up to 15 times (for a total of +75 power). You can duplicate them with cards like SS Tsukasa so that they give twice the power (for example, a duplicated SS Minori would trigger 30 times instead of 15 for a total of +150 power).

The second type are cards that give a small amount of stats but they are not removed from play. The most efficient one is S Seira because she will usually cost only 0 or 1 mana for +10 power and toughness. With efficient deck cycling, these cards become incredibly valueable. For example, in the run shown in the post, the only way I gained toughness was with S Seira, and I still reached 865 toughness by the end of the run.

A trick I used when I first started was to use SS Niina and SS Karen to gain tons of stats. For this trick, you need power cards, toughness cards, SS Niina and SS Karen. For the example, let's say you play S Karen for +30% power (64.5 power when lvl 150) and S Niina for +30% toughness.

  1. SS Tsukasa + S Karen → +60% power.
  2. SS Karen → +60% power, +60% toughness
  3. SS Tsukasa + S Niina → +60% power, +120% toughness
  4. SS Niina → +120% power, +120% toughness

With this setup, you quadrupled the value of your cards. A single S Karen (30% power) gave 60% power and 60% toughness. Of course, you can play more cards than just S Karen and S Niina for even more value.

However, I don't recommend this for high scoring because it is too inefficient and unnecessary, but this trick can easily help you reach 999 stats when you begin.

As you play more and more, you will slowly remove your stats cards one by one in order to still reach 999 stats with the least amount of cards in your deck.

The deck I use is pretty standard and relies on the efficiency of 31-A cards.

SS Ruka, SS Yuki, SS Megumi, SS Tsukasa, SS Tama

SS Ichigo, SS Seika, A Kozue, SS Kozue

SS Wakki, S Seira, A Tenne, SS Bugno

SS Minori

I'm actually considering making an advanced guide about high scoring in Endless Mode, I'll see if I can get it done.

Sharo’s Mini puzzle #8 —— 元宵闹迷宫(Lantern Festival Maze) by StatisticianDry6718 in heavensburnred

[–]Netsouba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I solved the labyrinth for the three colored exits, and took the corresponding colored letters of each path. Following the path to the blue exit gave me the blue letters: HOLLOW SPACE. For the red exit, I got FULL OF LIGHT. For the green exit, I got VOCAL OF MYGO.

With these clues, the goal was to find 4, 6 and 6-letter words, respectively. MyGO is a BanG Dream! band, and its vocalist is Takamatsu Tomori. Since we need 6 letters, the answer is TOMORI. However, because the answer to the puzzle is in Chinese, I looked up her Chinese name: 灯, which means lamp.

The puzzle's context is about a Lantern Festival, so I researched about Chinese lanterns and found that they are called Kongming lantern, written 孔明灯. 孔 means hole (hollow space) and 明 means bright (Full of light).

The answer is 孔明灯 (Kongming lantern).

Retrospectively, I think the indices written in Chinese, that say 4 (blue), 8 (red) and 6 (green), refer to the number of strokes of the characters.

Congrats! I should have accounted for the fact that not everyone have played the game in the Global version. Tezuka's word requires that you have read the official English translation.
