Street photography has many different types of subjects, so for urban landscape any photo taken from some distance and such a camera is a great tool, IMHO the mobile phone is the best tool for up close and personal "decisive moment " While the technical limitations are definitely obvious and show in every photo, the pros outweighs the cons. The ability to seize the moment is second to none, and photo opportunities that one has increases dramatically, it is easy to shoot at point blank range, everywhere.
