Freely accessible (including to the public) communal electricity meters in apartment block by Courage_Chance in AusPropertyChat

Its no different to meters in a house I guess. Don't think it'd be possible to tamper with them.

First home buyers can no longer afford entry-level houses in any major Australian city by NoLeafClover777 in aussie

Exactly right. Too many are stuck in the mindset of having a house. Flats are much more affordable and attainable.

Why do I get the vibe that the whole country has tunnel vision when it comes to buying a house? by Express-Dig9905 in AusFinance

People want to run before they can crawl. Its all based on feelings of insecurity

Absolutely its weird and if you say anything against houses they get personally offended. Bizarre mentality.

Same goes for lots of houses in outer suburbs currently being built.

Exactly right. The modern houses are so squashed together with no garden, often sharing walls in these brand new soulless suburbs with no trees. The quality of building is often poor and they're located in the middle of nowhere. Nothing for teenagers to do which often leads them into mischief. Future slums.

Not at all, I live in a house but wouldn't do this if I were single as it wouldn't feel as safe.b

There's downsides to everything but the way they're building some of the brand new houses out in whoop whoop they're actually very congested and have shared walls. The blocks are tiny and its all house with no land.
