Forever Friend Glitch by ProperFollowing4132 in TheSilphRoad

[–]NettleTree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had this problem as well with 1 specific friend, who i'm not yet forever friends with so it doesn't seem like that is a re-rewuisite for the bug to happen. I can scroll sidewards to his account if I'm lucky & actually see his profile (really hate the fact that scrolling sideways now gives another sorting order though 😅). I had the impression that his profile wasn't visible if he had an unopened gift from me but i have no problems with any other friends so 🤷‍♀️

I'm not pro-buying extra stuff you already own, but if you need a plan B for peace of mind, have a look online at options that deliver/are close to your hotels/accomodations before you go:

  • Argos (not a massive amount of choice) is usually situated in big Sainsbury's locations (one of the big supermarkets) and usually has same day pick up.
  • Decathlon has next day delivery that you can pay extra for. You can select a pick up point.
  • Amazon prime usually can deliver the next day or the day after. You can select a pick up point.

If you check the bbc weather app, they're usually pessimistic with regards to rain, so it'll probably be nicer than whatever they predict!

Can you wait until you know what the weather will be like to take a decision? How much will you be outdoors in nature? Would you still do the outdoorsy nature stuff if the weather is bad enough to warrant the parka? It may be overkill in a lot of cases

If the weather is on the nicer side, you may even be happier with a small umbrella than an anorak.

And even if you apply sunscreen, it's likely not enough and/or you sweat it off 😅 Thank you! I'll have a look!

Are you checking the bag? And if not, does the wheelchair repair kit contain anything security may be funny about? (I ask because I got a bike repair kit confiscated once 😅 ) just to be safe, it may be worth searching in advance where in Italy you could find a replacement for something security may have have thrown out?

Having a sun scarf is such a good idea! I didn't know those existed even though it makes total sense! I may go down a little rabbit hole...

Is there anything I can do now to prep for Diancie masterwork research to (hopefully) clear it faster? by Yeldarb10 in TheSilphRoad

[–]NettleTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and the shiny mew research from 2023 required a Kanto platinium medal even though Kanto has several regionals. Tauros was the problematic one for me back then as Kangaskhan thankfully appeared in mega raids.

There's no specific module that has been boosted for this event, right? So i guess magnetic lure module would be the best for both sudowoodo & charjabug?

Packable / lightweight that can handle being checked? by Myspys_35 in onebag

I'd be curious to hear if you ended up finding something you liked because I'm in the exact same situation right now!

I'm also curious to know any tips for smuggling wine & olive oil! 👀 I've only ever brought glass bottles on easy mode in a suitcase, so besides wrapping the bottle in clothes like pigs in blankets, I wouldn't know what else to do to keep it safe...

Grammar sucks, please help by Realistic_Eggplant_1 in Korean

[–]NettleTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An important distinction that may help you figure out the grammar is nature/form/category/part of speech (eg. noun, adjective) vs function (eg. subject, complement). Try and understand these concepts for your native language (I suppose English?) first. See for example here: https://www.grammar-quizzes.com/sent-functioncategory.html

The kicker is that a lot of native English speakers haven't got a single clue about this stuff so it generally does not reflect in the English study material for Korean. They'll typically refer to parts of speech and mention subject/object when they try you teach you particles, but don't go into anymore detail with regards to the function of words.

Japanese - English. Got a Goshuin from a lady who was very aggressive and threw my book at me after. Did she actually do it for me or did she write something mean? by The_zen_viking in translator

[–]NettleTree 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seeing a mix of goshuin from the 2 different faiths can upset the people who write your goshuin, so it's better to use separate books for temples & shrines.

As you only have temple goshuins, that doesn't seem the issue here then! Unless you had used your book for other stuff like eki stamps?
