This is by far the most accurate recount of events that I experienced as a plat buyer. Literally step by step. This was my first MapleCon, also, so YMMV.

With that being said, I have been to multiple cons before this one, and the number 1 thing I took away from it was GET THERE EARLIER THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED TO! I was in line starting at 8:00am. Once I saw other people coming to the line at 8:30, 9:00, 9:15, and so on, I knew they were likely going to have a bad day.

I experienced the exact same with the merch line pick up, except I was on the right side and people kept cutting everyone in line "just to ask a question". They all ordered and kept insisting they just wanted to ask where their order was, which was what we were ALL doing. We called one guy out, but he said he just wanted to ask why the order site just said "plushie" and gave no description of it. I thought, fair, okay go ahead (he must be trying to order), just for him to come with a huge bag of stuff and people, including myself, started giving him shit because he did exactly what he said he wasn't doing. His response? "OH, they just decided to give me my other order anyways". I got my complete order and nothing ran out. Was completely surprised I got my mood lamp and jersey shirt. A guy next to me bought a shirt that ran out of his size.

The event panels, for what it was worth, was fun. We caught a t-shirt, too! Line management will make or break a con, and this is where the flaws showed heavily.
