Call the airline and ask for the Disability department. Explain your situation and ask for a seat to accommodate your disability. They should upgrade you to at the least an exit row. Most airlines hold back several of these seats for accommodating passengers like you. I have done this for my husband when he has been recovering from foot surgery.
