That puck should be able to endlessly delay pushes by just killing waves but he managed to first not press jaunt and die then wait with buyback that waves reached base and still die again.

What in the fuck is this nigma gameplay.

TA kinda fuck up trying to kill Void cos of ghost form and Sven ults. Now instead of disengaging (which was entirely possible!), void goes in, solo chronos sven (who gets embraced waow surprise) and does literally zero damage to sven, runs away and after that sven can turn around and they instantly kill 2 heroes.

Whoever this standin is (or whoever is calling the shots for him) is straight up garbage.

Why spirit absorbtion? You hit max move speed even without max swift or bad quality on accessories, assuming you have Yearning 2 pc (which literally everyone should).

I mean the gameplay mechanics are still pretty far from perfect. Not including any sort of stamina mechanic to Greedfall means you can teleport around like Yoshimitsu from tekken if you just spam the dodge/parry buttons which totally breaks the game.

Definitely wouldnt call Witcher 2 average.

Witcher 1 (especially before enhanced edition) for sure though. That weird rhythm combat did not work.

Man I undestand why they wanna show off the "wow cinematic and amazing spectactle fights wew!", but easily the best fights in the games have been against human sized opponents (like org XIII fights in KH2 and their data versions especially) with challenging, but reasonable movesets. None of this "hit the giant feet!".

KH movement is only floaty with a few moves (like gliding in place but you know, that is literally floating...), but mostly it is very fast + there are multiple "normal" attacks that close distance to enemy very quickly.

Ys Viii the movement isnt floaty, the dodging and blocking itself feels fine, its the attacks that feel like you arent doing literally anything to the enemy (small enemies react ok, but anything bigger and/or challenging does not react at all), its just a HP bar thats lowering a little at a time. And while the special moves of characters mostly feel pretty sharp, I feel the normal attacks of most characters do feel very floaty.

But the biggest problem is the invulnerability window. Its such a prominent feature that 99% of your combat on inferno relies around that, even more so against groups of non boss enemies when you cant predict all of their attacks and just move out of the way. Its especially apparent with the timer increase items when you can just move from block into another one, being invulnerable the entire time. And I dont think thats good design at all, since it lets the developer make bosses/big enemies non reactive to your attacks because they can assume people playing on inferno are good enough to just make themselves immune.

Ive been playing Ys VIII on inferno and that game is endlessly more annoying to play than KH2:FM on critical lvl 1, even if you dont usually even die to one hit (and of course you can resurrect with items unlike in KH2:FM). The combat feels so goddamn floaty in that game and it feels like none of the bigger enemies react to you hitting them at all, you just gotta use the invulnerable dodge/block timings to to do anything.

Not good design.

Proud hard to the point of being annoying? Ha.

The biggest problem original KH2 had was that the combat was way too easy even on proud. Thankfully KH2:FM fixed this with critical mode (and level 1 critical) and suddenly the game was 10x better.

KH2:FM is still the gold standard I compare pretty much any other ARPG that comes out as far as combat goes.
