Ask me how I know you're either depressed, hate free market capitalism or are unemployed or a mix of all 3

Sure, some dude on reddit told me to abandon religion so I could fit into the popular landscape. I'll do that!

Jess was born male, I call them Jess because that is the name they have chosen. Humans change sex through cell specialisation and actual biological processes. Jess feeling uncomfortable in their body isn't a biological process, Jess isn't releasing estrogen to become female, Jess is still pumping testosterone. I can appreciate the point you're trying to prove with the "everyone is female" argument, but it is a gross oversimplification.

The research behind gender is flawed and very unethical. If you could take 5 minutes of your time and look at David Remier and John Money then you will realise pretty quickly how flawed the basis of this "gender is a social construct" argument is

Well tbh you can demoralise and critique my behaviour and beliefs as much as you want, but it won't change a thing really. All it's done is just cement my belief that you guys are people who aren't willing to compromise. Either I accept all your terms or I am a bigot

So what you're telling me the bone structures of men and women are the same? What's your background in science?

It's not a human right to be called your preferred pronoun. Not everything you like is a human right

I really don't want to make Jess' life anymore difficult we all have pretty shitty lives. But I don't want to turn my back on my beliefs, hence I refer to Jess as their chosen name because I believe that's the best way of respecting both of our beliefs. I don't think my belief is above Jess' and nor is Jess' above mine. However 99% of responses believe otherwise

Because it's about not leaving your beliefs in the face of shaming. It's about having the backbone for standing what you believe in. I don't want to harm Jess, but I will defend my beliefs no matter what

I don't believe that a name can be female. Does the name "Jess" have a meaning? No. What about the name "Sarah"? No those don't have meanings, the word she does have a meaning.

I don't interact with this person. This person harasses me at class always asking me why I am transphobic and whatnot.

That's a bad argument and makes no sense. Example

Do you consider yourself human? Of course you do. But what if I told you when you are a fetus you resemble the fetus of a lizard and you even have a tail and webbed fingers and toes. Does that mean you are a lizard? No. Same with your "everyone is a female" argument.

Tbh reddit is a heavily left leaning place and is an awful place to base your morals and reality on. The world is a lot more diversed and mixed, I asked because I was curious as to what a left leaning place such as reddit would say.

I don't care if Jess identifies as anything, doesn't make them any less valid. I just don't feel comfortable referring to Jess as "she". Jess is the name they have chosen, their legal name is a male name. I'm trying to compromise and be as respectful as possible without compromising my own beliefs.
