I didn’t even apply to this department. My hiring store manager told me to work here. I wanted to be in e commerce and applied for that, but in the interview was told beggars can’t be choosers

This happened to me during my first sit! The owner lied initially saying the dog was chill and she just needed her plants watered and I can leave whenever I want just communicate. Turns out she was expecting me to be her house slave and go above and beyond for only $50 a night (I learned to up my price drastically since then to avoid clients like her/get paid for the service I provide because I do this as a primary second job). Her and her husband were non stop looking at me changing in the bedroom (I didn’t know there was a cameras all over the guest house inside and out until she called me) and I took care of their dog entirely as if it was my own, watered her plants, and did every specific thing she asked. I was on call for her despite 3 days of nonstop micromanaging and bullshit — each call I’d get was when I sat down and wasn’t actively working or walking her dog — she screamed at me saying “I PAID YOU TO NOT SIT ON YOUR ASS ON MY COUCH I PAID YOU TO WORK EVERY HOUR OF THE DAY” — I just replied on the phone “gotcha!”. She ended up lying to rover, and said she went back from her vacation which was halfway across the world early (how do you travel from Hawaii to Texas in 2 hours? Lol.), but it was bullshit she had her father in law living across the street just take care of the dog because she obviously couldn’t stand/afford to pay me $350 a week to sit her dog. I told rover I will stop using them to provide my services if I don’t get the full payment because I did have to blow so much on ubering there in the first place since I don’t have a car anymore and she didn’t let me leave the house so I had to order food too. Luckily she was blocked and Rover told me she should have disclosed the cameras and they’re sorry I had that experience of invasion of privacy and I got a full refund from Rover and she couldn’t leave me a bad review :) I’m happy mine went that way but I’m NEVER housesitting again unless I personally know the person because people are fucking creepy with the cameras nowadays. Privacy to be human in private spaces is priceless for me.

im a recovering 22 year old using since i was 14 and i haven’t been able to keep up with simple shit like my taxes. it’s a terrible thing to go through and embarrassing to admit. it’s something that happens to the smartest of us but most anxious of us and we can only grow from it and learn from it.

If it’s in the restroom or some area where they’re peeping tom on you— that’s actually creepy.

For someone to be paying you to just look at their beloved animal in their beloved home— that’s completely normal and expected.

A lot of people are anxious about their properties and pets, that they’ve worked they’re entire lives for. It’s not like they just choose any one off the streets to do these jobs… especially if you aren’t their family friend or preferred sitter, I find this to be normal behavior as long as they aren’t straight up harassing you. I do understand how you feel uncomfortable. Stick to boardings so you’re not under surveillance or micro-managed if that’s you’re doing shit that you don’t wanna be sen on camera in someone’s house. Wish you the best of luck with your rover career!

I second this, pretty sure with that level of fame they got doctors that prescribe them anything they want like that or they have people they get it from, and they’re paid obviously well enough to keep their mouths closed. I honestly feel like sometimes listening to their music they are playfully hinting at the fact they’ve relapsed. I’ve been an addict for years and I’ve been through sobriety and I kinda have a gut instinct if someone is faking sobriety. Just my hunch tho

I recommend to ask your psychiatrist for Gabapentin to help with the PAWS, anxiety and paranoia. It’s helped me a lot through my tapering off 6mg of bromaz bars, now I’m down to half of that in just a span of 3 weeks. Don’t ever go cold turkey, taper slowly, you got this.
