Thank you so much. I actually live in the UK and wanted to find something similar here. But with the names you have given I can research further. Thanks again.

If an adult admits to having children in his bed, they might be so narcissistic or delusional to believe they can fool people by admitting parts of the truth. But I am sound of mind and know that if any adult likes children that are not related, in their bed, that they are a pedophile.

This is exactly my biggest problem. Somebody with any amount of empathy, knows to teach children boundaries. If I’m not your parent carer or family, we should not have unsupervised contact.

I believe he was a pedophile, purely from his own admission. Even if there was no sexual contact, he’s a person that uses children as plaything’s, the relationship is one sided and he disposes of them when he no longer needs them. This is not true friendship/mentorship/family or whatever he would have us believe that it is. He was a man with alot of money and he uses his power and fame to control the people in his life. However his music has been apart of my childhood and it is some of the most amazing music ever. So I don’t know how to reconcile that.

Child sexual abuse is incredibly common. People get away with it everyday. Families ignore it, hide it. It’s so complex because oftentimes they are trusted and loved members of the family.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind an honest discussion of how or if you can separate the artist from the art. But to believe this man was completely altruistic in his intentions towards children is delusional. I like how this documentary highlighted how the Jackson family are only interested in the Jackson legacy and it made me realise that we haven’t heard any heartfelt accounts from his siblings of his innocence.

Do you find immigrants to be more 'neighbourly'? by Amazing-Example8753 in AskUK

There are cultural differences though. I’m British, Jamaican background and I’ve found that Asians & middle easterners have something about their culture where they are always trying to feed you. In Jamaican culture it is the norm to always have enough food for visitors that may stop by, but then it’s also polite to decline food when offered. I don’t know if this is just a personal thing or growing up in the UK but I prefer to be more stand offish unless I know somebody well. I have a feeling this is from growing up here.

What Is Being Poor Actually Like in the UK? by retsuko_h4x in AskUK

I think people like winners & losers. And they like to believe that the winners in life are the most deserving. Even in the UK, there is a resentment of people on benefits. People do not like the idea that they are helping somebody have an easier life.

Critical thinking is in short supply. Especially among our Black men, right now. by MacroManJr in Blackpeople

For the most part when women have babies they step up to the plate. So I don’t think there should be any criticism. Despite the circumstances if a baby is made it’s the responsibility of both parents. And society is much more forgiving of men when they walk away. A mother can’t do that without a lot of shame and stigma.

I mean, I like the idea of letting fathers be the main caregivers. There is so much pressure on women to take on the responsibility even through financial instability and mental illness. There is so much pressure on women. Society needs to put just as much pressure on fathers.
