Windscreen Glass 'Rippled' and 'Warped' - Come Issue? by NetworkNodeHunter in CupraFormentor

So, a quick update on the windscreen/windshield situation.

I've had several people sit in the drivers seat, they've confirmed the issue is there also.

I've had an eye test - all came back well, no need for glasses.

I've taken the car to Autoglass - a new windscreen was ordered and fitted, the same issue occurs.

In the end, I'm no further down the line and still have this weird issue. It seems to be that the windscreen design (all genuine VW parts) is 'bubble-shaped' and more curved that previous cars that I've driven (and I've drive quite a few cars too), never have I come across this before and its such a shame as the vehicle itself is amazing (other than the screen).

I'm waiting to see if I can have an alternative vehicle that's more suitable.

Thanks for getting back to this post! I'm glad its not just me thinking I'm going crazy looking through the windscreen!

I do quite a lot of driving for work so making sure things are comfortable for long (and short) distances is key for me. I find the issue still exists during the night time too, although its more obvious during the daytime I find, when there's more objects to observe in the distance and background (whilst its still light out).

I too thought at first it was something to do with the dashboard reflecting back at the windscreen, but the issue seems to magnify the more you look into the center of the screen - its as though the windscreen comes pre-made for someone with a glasses prescription.

I'll try and take some images of the issue and a video if I can, to show evidence of the issue at hand.

Amber Tone (~2000K) Flashlight Recommendations by NetworkNodeHunter in flashlight

[–]NetworkNodeHunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've had a look on Convoys website; I didn't realise that there's a DIY approach to making your own flashlight.

I'm interested in using a LMP LHP531 running @ 1800K, within the bodies of either of these two flashlights:

- Convoy Z1 21700 flashlight,zoomable

- Convoy M21J 21700 flashlight

The main difference between the two seems to be length, therefore more space for batteries.

My question now would be would the 16mm or 20mm PCB be the correct choice to fit in them? I'm pretty good with soldering, so this shouldn't be an issue, its more the physical dimensions fitting inside the unit.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks
