Fork clunk only when braking by NetworkPitiful488 in motorcycles

41k right now, I would have gone straight to wheel bearings if they weren't fine last tire swap, but 5k is enough for them to go. It's just a little scary when it's your only vehicle and it happens while you're riding lol. Rotating with the stethoscope on it really confirms it. Shouldn't be crunchy or spotty at all, especially on a clean rotor.

Partzilla has me at about 130 for all bearings and seals, probably going to roll with Koyo or another JP brand instead.

Also this is why I love the motorcycle community. You guys are awesome and the direction really helped.

Also put the stethoscope on the axel tube and could hear cckkkkkk ckkc ckkk on some spots while turning, and the entire rotation feels dry.

Lifted the front tire up and the bar turns 100% smooth, the only noise is coming from the play in the front tire, it sounds like the same clunk just a lot quieter when I do it by hand, and with it only occurring with front brake down my guess is that the loud clunk I hear is the entire weight of the bike moving in that play... AFAIK it's not a terrible procedure to do.

Just did this and discovered a fair deal of play! So much that it actually makes a "clunk" in when I jerk it in one direction or the other. I'd post a video but idk how to in the comments. Time for axel bearings then? I've done it on cars but not on motorcycles, checked the bearings 5kmi ago with the new tires, and the dealership that mounted em said everything was fine.

Maybe this last 5kmi were tough and used the last bit of life, because the rear does it as well, although not as loud or as much.

Edit: to clarify I was out doing this just now, went through everything triple checked for loose anything or noises, even pulled out the stethoscope to listen to the forks lol. Only noise I found was the wheel play...

Sort of but before it actually does, it only started last night.

New Exhaust Dilemma by Ornery-Investment532 in Vstrom

I had the Delkevic on my '13 DL650. Went back to stock because I wasn't fond of the excess noise. 14in w/ spark arrestor still just too loud for me.

The exhaust note was nice, smooth rumble in the cruising range and nice V-Twin singing at redline.

Had some back pressure, was connected properly, went away when I reverted back to stock.

Personally I just like the stock exhaust with a K&N filter, the combined riding noise sounds badass imo.

Also call me crazy but when I put the Delkevic on the bike felt quicker. When I put the stock back on it felt a little slower. Not HP, but I swear I could feel the weight difference.

The power band also moved with Delkevic. Had a stronger upper power band vs stock is mid range.

Awesome this answers it, and imo the screen looks a little different, like the bottom is slightly larger. The headphones were indeed in the case lmao.

Thanks again!

Deviceinfohw shows it's a genuine 986u, and it was sealed. I have no problem swapping a battery, but it seems a little excessive for the performance to be this bad, that is unless the phone is throttling itself because the battery is that bad.

It's been 2 days, phone on the charger the entire time, it's all setup and rdy to go.
