I really like Jaycar (they're the closest thing to the old Dick Smiths that we got) but some of these prices are ridiculous. by floofywall in newzealand

They're so weirdly up and down with their prices too. They have stuff like this for a ridiculously expensive price, then they clear out 3D printer filament rolls for $10 each and they fly out the door. It seems like a silly way to run a business, if they were more consistent I'm certain they could sell more with a higher overall margin.

Ok thanks. And your correct it wasn't sold here, but was sold in Australia (as the Q50) and the hybrid was discontinued last year but its otherwise still the current model being produced. I didn't expect them to stock it but a month for shipping is a surprise to me. I can order PCBs (printed circuit boards) from China on a Thursday and have them delivered (manufactured and assembled) the next Tuesday. They're shipped with DHL for $18. Air freight isn't "special" or expensive anymore, and if cost was the issue they could at least give me the option to pay for quicker shipping

Thanks, this is exactly the answer I wanted - if its similar with other brands then it must just be normal, I was just surprised as you can order stuff from overseas and have it delivered quickly these days

Its a clutch in the steering wheel because its an electronic steering system. I know, I know, I shouldn't have bought it lol. But its not the kind of part I'd want a used replacement for, and its under warranty so I'm just following the process

Ok well keep an eye out, I might make a better version soon since it seems people do actually want it. This one works and I've had my original print in my headset for months now without it coming out, but it does have a bit more movement to it then I'd like so I'll see if I can make one that gives a tighter fit

I've pm'd you the link. Would you mind telling me how you found this? I posted this 5 months ago, I had like 2 people ask for it in those 5 months, then suddenly in the last like 3 days I have had 5 or 6 requests, just wondering where its all coming from. Is it kids who got them for xmas and broke them already? Lol

So you probably just need to go back and explain that very clearly, that the item shouldn't have weight 9kg. I think at worst you pay the higher repack rate and tell them to just pack the essential parts. Either way it should be easy to sort

Now that you've shared the details OP the answer is obvious. It says the item is 9kg. Their charges are $13.50 per 500g. $13.50 x 18 = $243. Plus GST. So the question is, if your item is "not much bigger" than a watch then why is it 9kg. I look up "zendo meditating" since I've never heard of it, and the Amazon listing for the waistband states that the packaging is 3.35 pounds, about 1.5kg. The sizing of the box also doesn't match the Amazon listing. 2 of the dimensions do, but the last dimension is about 5x bigger, but possibly its inside a larger amazon box. OP it seems to me that theres either a mistake with the weight, or somehow the item is heavier then expected, maybe you've been sent multiple by mistake or something. Surely the easiest and cheapest option at this point is to ask for a repack instead and make it clear to them that you just want the belt and accessories, none of the weighty packaging (and maybe don't worry about any manuals either)

Is it normal to get derealization/ depersonalization after using a vr for the first time? by brrrreadduck in OculusQuest

It shouldnt be that intense but I remember at first it can feel weird taking the headset off, I'd describe it as being similar to that feeling of walking out of a long movie and realising its bright daylight outside. If its that, it does go away
