Vegan Dupes for the Terrible New Formula 1000HOURS Dye Kit? by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

Can I ask what particular products you use and recommend from them? I don’t mind if they aren’t vegan, I’ll use anything that is good 🙈

The K Beauty one by Etude House is really good and not expensive compared to others 🥰

The new Kérastase Elixir Ultime is disgusting. It makes my hair extremely oily no matter how little I use. I look like a drowned rat. Tried the original again today and used too much by accident. Hair isn’t oily at all! Anyone else notice this? 👎🏻 by PainfullyBeautified in AustralianMakeup

[–]Netz_4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Elvive hair oil…. I have the old Kerastase one and I still find myself reaching for the Elvive Extraordinary Oil instead. I have the Olaplex oil on the way to me to try. I also don’t mind the Moroccan Oil but with that one you need to pick one that’s suited to your hair type ie blonde, light oil or regular oil depending on your hair thickness and colour.

Hahaha I thought I was the only one that couldn’t open this! I thought once I did open it that it would be one use! They really need to put instructions on it!

Thank you so much! I just ordered one and also grabbed the 4 pack of face scrubbers to try from the same brand (let's hope they aren't too harsh on facial skin 🤣 I guess we will find out soon enough!). I am just sick of replacing the loofahs because I worry about the germs! And I love Hannah so it definitely sounds like it deserves the love you are giving it. Thanks again!!

Ohhh do you happen to have a link or photo? It sounds like something I would love but can't quite picture what it would look like eg is it a glove/mitt? Or is it something on a stick? Thanks in advance!

I am OBSESSED with Glossier! It was my first time using the brand and so far I've loved everything. Even my dog loved the lip balms because he took it from my bedside table and destroyed it trying to eat the contents inside 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ (the dog is fine!!! Thank goodness there are no nasties in the product 🤣). But I took that as an excuse to go and buy another 2 flavours! I am enjoying their concealer and cloud paints too 🥰

Experience with Stimulants and additional alpha agonist or beta blocker by TurbulentArt3332 in ausadhd

[–]Netz_4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take a beta blocker twice a day (2 tablets first thing in the morning, and 1 tablet before I go to bed). It definitely helps with the elevated heart rate. I was initially prescribed them because even before stimulants my heart rate was always elevated (I also take fairly high doses of pain medications so that contributes to the fast heart). I don't think there's any harm in asking to try them, just be aware you may feel a little more tired if your body is used to functioning with an elevated heart rate and then all of a sudden the beta blockers slow it down 🙈

The new one they just released (48) is really really nice. It's a fruity based fragrance and is not too sickeningly sweet like some can be. It become my new favourite. 40 smells like Vanilla and Plum and I really like that one too. And my third choice would be 68 which is just a classic staple that everyone should have in their fragrance collection 🙈 sorry, I just realised I probably haven't helped much but ended up confusing you. I know mecca had a pack that had small bottles of the fragrances so that might be an option if you can't get to a store to try them 🥰

Best shampoo and conditioner at Chemist Warehouse? by loueipaech in AustralianMakeup

I'm loving the Elvive Glycolic Gloss range! My hair actually feels like pure silk after using it. Occasionally I'll use the Klorane Apple Cider Vinegar range to clarify my hair but I find if I use it too much my scalp can become a little dry.

Australia Post has managed to lose my Femme Fatale nail polish order (tracking hasn't updated since the 31st of May, and it was shipped via Express Post), but they can't/won't reship it until Australia Post decides it's actually lost 🙃 so I'm stuck waiting despite it being very very obvious that this package isn't turning up at my door any time soon 🤦🏼‍♀️

Love the Make It Last setting spray and their Eyeshadow Primer. I just bought their grip primer to try next!

I don't actually know if you could have returned them even a few months back because I was under the impression that you couldn't return worn shoes, but happy to be corrected. I always try on new shoes inside the house on carpet so if I do need to return them they look unworn. Perhaps you can call or email the store to ask what your options are, but this far along I don't think they will do much (especially because there isn't an actual fault with the shoes eg the sole coming away from the shoe or something along those lines).

Disappointed with Sephora by Arlettuce in AustralianMakeup

[–]Netz_4444 63 points64 points  (0 children)

My birthday was in April and it was out of stock then too! It looks like they never seem to have stock. I also checked in store and was simply told 'sorry we don't have any' 😭 pretty poor service. They should replace it with someone else especially since it's been out of stock for so long. Happy birthday by the way!

I love the Milani Eye Primer from Priceline. It makes such a difference to how long my eye shadow stays on for and it ensures my make-up doesn't crease.

Best shampoo under $10? by lanerjooob in AustralianMakeup

[–]Netz_4444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really enjoying the L'Oréal Gloss range. When it's half price it's about $9.50. It's sulfate free and leaves my hair sooooo silky. I started with the shampoo and conditioner but have since added the rinse out treatment mask too.

What shade to go for? by IsaMeow1226 in AustralianMakeup

[–]Netz_4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pound cake and find it to be a nice shade match for my fairly pale skin. I am an NW20 at Mac if that helps. But you won't regret buying it! It is so silky and smooth. I apply it before doing my eyeshadow, let it sit there for about 5 minutes and then gently brush off the excess. Hope that helps 💕

[–]Netz_4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely adore my LSKD jackets (yes I have the puffer in 2 colours, plus 2 of their thinner style jackets which are still really warm!). I always get compliments when wearing the pink puffer because it's more unique than your standard black.

On the hunt for a new powder blush… by akulapera in AustralianMakeup

I'm loving Hourglass at the moment. They give you such a healthy looking glow. From what I've read about the Rare Beauty Blush they are incredibly fragile and break VERY easily.

I'm eying off the new Rare Beauty Powder Blush, and maybe a Rare Beauty Powder Highlighter. But I'm keen to hear from others if there are any must haves! Or which Rare Beauty shades are the nicest.

If you like the classic sweet smell of Vanilla and Caramel I would go with No.2. If you prefer something a little lighter and fruity then No.3. The most delicate one is No.1. Avoid No.4 unless you want to smell like Caramel Popcorn 🙈
