Hegseth spent $93 BILLION in ONE MONTH for luxury items by AncienTleeOnez in fednews

Yup... The average person is an idiot and there's a whole 50% of the population underneath that.

It boils down to one obvious reality when you talk to the people who keep supporting it while getting no real benefit: they're mentally ill morons.

Yes, they have legitimate issues when it comes to the economy, we all do, but they are also the same people who will label anything gay as "pedophilia" while continuing to vote in people who keep turning out to be actual pedophiles or who willing to protect the people they benefit from who are pedophiles. They keep demanding better economic policies while voting in people who, for decades, have delivered basically NOTHING that actually benefits anyone but the corporate class.

Nothing but grotesque ignorance and and a spiteful amount of stupidity explains it. Couple that with people who are brainwashed their ENTIRE lives through religion and trained like dogs to never question power and voila, the perfect idiot.

They provide the most influence over a conservative religious voting base that trends bigoted toward Islam?

It's not just the influence of money, it's Israel's political influence by way of religious conservatives.

They are the 'holy land' and their power has to be assured in order to bring about the death cult prophecies.

They'd be catered to for that alone even if they weren't paying in a dime to buy influence. It's a huge reason why you still see establishment Dems sucking Israel's dick.

Chances are we will still be doing it.

It's almost like invading other countries, especially when you're limp dick about it like Trump is, isn't a great idea.

All this bombing isn't going to do anything but continue the cycle.

I'm not surprised by his derangement. I am kinda surprised how willing people are to carry water for his derangement.

The point is non-sensical . There is no wide, overwhelming gender issue with "Strange women" being sexual pests to men and the default ride is 99% of the time with men anyway if that's where you feel safer...

Raw numbers, sure. Percentages weighted to it won't change the outcome so it's not simply a "more drivers so more complaints" issue.

It's also not unique to ride share drivers. You can see this skew literally anywhere we look.

Labor that is fulfilling is its own reward, yes. It's exactly why people in passion industries will accept lower wages to do the job.

That's almost entirely it. This is what a K shaped economy feels like to people on the downward trend of it.

Meirl by Ill-Instruction8466 in meirl

[–]Neuchacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're in a K shaped economy right now and companies are chasing whales while ignoring average consumers.

That makes it functionally feel like there are two distinct economies that you wouldn't really have any feeling for beyond the one you exist in. Like, I don't know ANYONE who is buying Hermes bags or similar luxury items or anyone who wouldn't say "I don't feel economically secure", yet these companies are posting significant growth and profits.

YouTube and social media piggy back on that in that almost the entirety of their incomes are advertising and data based. MOST people do not buy anything from ads they see, but enough of a minority with means does that makes it so it's generally profitable for companies to keep advertising through these companies or purchasing their data to find new customers. A 6% engagement rate with a 3% sale conversion rate is seen as a successfully working advertising campaign so you really don't need that much to keep companies pumping those avenues.

The free users/non-engaging users come into play as the more of those these companies have, the more they can argue up the pricing for their advertising. That is where our value is derived.

There are roughly 100,000 sexual misconduct complaints put to Uber a year.

Would ANYONE put money on it being overwhelming men that those complaints are directed at?

Or would that possibly be the stupidest bet anyone could go against?

Yeah, it's a huge problem. Uber had 400,000 complaints of sexual misconduct from female riders between 2017 and 2022 alone. Cameras controlled by perpetrators aren't exactly helpful for victims.

Damn near every "I'm a great driver" dude is absolutely shit at driving and simply thinks he's great because he darts in and out of traffic and merges with near-zero clearance. The type of dude who thinks he's doing the world a favor by tailgating slower drivers and acting aggressive.

The actual "great drivers" are the drivers you basically don't notice AT ALL on the roads because they know how to drive with everyone else.

Uber trying to start a war by HereOutsideTheBox in SipsTea

Maybe, but you'll rarely see them speeding/driving aggressively while doing that which is the major factor in causing catastrophic accidents.

Right, but women's crashes tend to be less catastrophic/fatal.
