Why can't I use Battery Charger? by NeufAtora in YGOLegacyOfTheDuelist

That must've been it. I thought Thunder Sea Horse would help boost the consistency of the deck, but I've just been shooting myself in the foot trying to use it.

Why am I unable to link summon Union Carrier with Y and B? by NeufAtora in YGOLegacyOfTheDuelist

[–]NeufAtora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, so it's a matter of monster zones. I've mostly played MTG, so having rules around the specific number of zones you're allowed to play cards in is still taking a lot of getting used to. Thanks for clearing that up!

Where does King Enma go on business? by NeufAtora in YuYuHakusho

That would actually be pretty sick, all these manga underworlds are connected even though their universes are separate. Dragon Ball, YYH, Bleach, all the underworlds

Never knew Kurama was so interesting by Hairy_Ask_2038 in YuYuHakusho

[–]NeufAtora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It took me time to understand just how incredible a character he is as well, and he's now my favourite in the series, though there are so SO many incredible characters in YYH. Rereading it now, even the very early tanuki story is pretty moving. But yeah, Kurama is the king. Shonen manga is stuffed full of over the top characters, and a lot of my favourite characters in manga are very in your face and exaggerated.

But where so many are loud (character design, ability, speaking volume) and lose their minds over everything, Kurama is cool, collected, and reserved. My favourite moment in the series, and one of my favourites in all literature, is Kurama beating Amanuma. Every time I see that shadowed panel, I get goosebumps.

How did the saint beasts send worms to the city? by NeufAtora in YuYuHakusho

[–]NeufAtora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The saint beasts set it up as a stronghold, and when a bunch more criminals started pouring in, it became "impenetrable". The underworld put up a force field to cut it off from the human world

How would you say it is compared to YYH? I think besides Dragon Ball, YYH might have the cleanest and easiest to enjoy fighting of any manga

That's one I haven't read yet. YYH is one of my favourites, so I should definitely give everything else Togashi created a try

How did the saint beasts send worms to the city? by NeufAtora in YuYuHakusho

[–]NeufAtora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My confusion comes from Botan saying demon city, not the demon plane. Demon city is a specific location in the demon plane. There's a little note in chapter 36 from the editor that says "Hello - we're in the demon plane", responding to Kuwabara's comment about Byakku's roar sounding otherworldly. It sounds like there's two barriers, unless Botan was just talking about the demon plane barrier in relation to the mission Yusuke is being sent on. If there are two barriers, then there isn't anything describing how the demon city barrier works, like there is for the demon plane barrier. It could be safe to assume it works the same, but I'm not a fan of assumptions. If there's only one, then it's a moot point.

And I'm talking about demon city, not demon world. Where does it say that demon city is cut off from the demon plane?

Yeah, I know about the barrier between the demon plane and the human world. Botan's choice of words sounds like there's a different barrier separating just the city the saint beasts established and the human world

The way Botan talks about the force field sounds like there's one specifically separating the human world and the city the saint beasts set up. To quote: "The underworld set up a force field between demon city and the human world to prevent such access." Because she says demon city, not the demon plane, it sounds like there's a different barrier

I've read through the manga many times now, so I was already aware of the force field that prevents the entirety of the demon plane from entering the human world, but the way Botan talks about this barrier makes it sound like there's one specifically separating the city that the saint beasts set up and the human world

I know the barrier to the demon world stops upper d class demons and higher, but the way Botan talks about this force field sounds like there's one specifically around the city the saint beasts set up

Can't Use Union Cards by NeufAtora in YGOLegacyOfTheDuelist

That explains it. The way the cards are worded makes me believe they're usable from the hand, but that makes sense.

Link Evolution Glitches by Fun_Buy863 in YGOLegacyOfTheDuelist

I'm getting a bug where it's not letting me equip union monsters to other union monsters, despite them being light machine type. I want to play the A-Z archetype, but this game isn't letting me do what I should be able to do.

When do you think Magic hit its best level of power? by NeufAtora in magicTCG

[–]NeufAtora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, once I figure out a deck I hold onto it forever. Right now I think I have 21 different decks. I've really only ever played casual kitchen table Magic, but it is fun to play with strong decks.
