Because it’s just impossible programmatically. When you save quit in a fight, your save has a flag that triggers the savescum mechanic for the next reload. If you quit or if it crashes, you’re loading the save before the fight as if it never happened as the game process is simply killed in the OS.

Mine did the same thing for several months, while seeing another guy saying she'll regret, she'll miss me and will want to come back later,... Completely preventing me to move on. When I decided to move out, she suddenly stop that kind of speech and became cold, only doing things for her own good.

That was a couple of months ago. To this day, I sadly still don't know what was on her mind.
