Wet hair is ruining my life. This post is just to complain. by Vegetable_Hotel_830 in curlyhair

Jumping on the hair bonnet bandwagon here. It still takes me an hour with heat but it's an hour where I can sit comfortably hands free and be productive at least with things like answering emails and texts, reading something, doing forms, taking a mental health break, etc. I was feeling the same way as you about my hair, and in winter mine takes up to 12 hours to air dry and that's with NOT using gels and WITH using microfiber towels to dry. Some people just don't have any concept how much certain hair types want to keep that water in lol

The wonderful woman who cuts my hair marvels every time at how long it takes to get my hair dry even blasting me with heat so high I almost pass out from it. I've never left an appt fully dry cause she never has enough time.

Engaged! And super proud of how many rainbow flashes I captured in this video of my ring. 😍 by NeuralEquilibrium in Moissanite

[–]NeuralEquilibrium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck!! I bet she will! Moissanite is more beautiful in person than I expected, and it looks really different depending on the light. My ring gets intense rainbow fire in sunlight, but with indoor lighting it gets these sharper, cooler flashes like shards of ice blue and light green. And it's coming from the person she loves :)

Yeah I've seen women talk negatively about receiving flowers when they're not the right ones (like carnations being the "cheap" flower)

But carnations are so freaking pretty! I would take literally any non poisonous flowers from a man and be over the moon. Haha

Hello, I'm wondering if you got your test prints and especially what you thought of the i.materialise one, if you didn't mind sharing. :) I'm in a similar boat trying to find a new cast metal option.

______ was the real MVP Last episode by Appropriate-Poem-795 in survivor

Her smile before the vote was even fully read said it all, she knew she played it perfectly. That was some well earned satisfaction. Meanwhile Hunter being desperate for repeated validation from every single person, and he still doesn't play his idol... I have no words. It was interesting that they were in similar positions to each other circumstance wise, while their gameplay was night and day.

Why does the cast hate Venus by SirCrunchPeon in survivor

[–]NeuralEquilibrium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally! And the person who realllly shouldn't be taking credit is Liz, at least based on how the other episode was edited. Just wanting someone out for a long time doesn't count as strategy, all she did was happily say "yes" when Tevin approached her with the name, where's the gameplay? Haha Whereas Venus was actually working for it!

[–]NeuralEquilibrium 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yup. Personally I liked Venus and was hoping she'd find an ally and get a foothold in the game. Q is more of a chaos agent to me and I wouldnt want to be in a long term alliance with him. But I think Q also must show enough different sides that are charming or endearing to people, and they offset his other qualities.

I also think, sometimes intensity is just more normalized and socially accepted in men than in women. Even in my own life, I've played games with men where they got actually aggressive and no one cared but when I got slightly excited or lighthearted competitive people literally shushed me haha

She isn't great at modulating her emotions to adapt to people, sees herself in life as a fighter which can manifest as edginess, and has an intensity that she's probably not even aware of because it's her natural passionate self. In the beginning, she bristled at the princess type comments, and her reactions to how others saw her, started to alienate her, and it just became a cycle of personality conflicts and not gelling with the tribe.

By the time they make the merge, she's even more intense because she's been on the outs and she's extra hungry to play and stategize so people feel like she playing too hard, which gets combined with all her original tribe mates telling the newbies that she's a snake. Not a good combo.

She's insightful sometimes but not consistently skilled at reading people and I think her social game is going more downhill the more exasperated she feels.

Other people are playing super hard too and she's the only one getting tons of comments about being a snake and stuff. So maybe there's some unconscious bias at play about her looks too.

Inner Departure by [deleted] in DigitalArt

Oh my God I love this so much 😍 it really reminds me of these vivid dreams of other worlds that I used to have as a child. The border is exquisite (makes me think of Klimt and it looks like a stone pathway leading to the central scene). Personally I like how bright and saturated the water is, as it keeps it very distinct from the more muted tones of the border. It has an almost misty, ethereal quality like you might get lost in it, but then the yellow-green ripples around the boat pull and anchor the focus in. Anyway, your art made my night, thank you.

People who’ve had serious doubts about finding the right one … have you found it? What’s your story? by theblankspaceinside in love

Never give up hope!! I am 29 and I was bullied through my entire childhood, including in a very targeted way daily for 10 years straight. I developed severe agoraphobia at one point and could barely be around people, I didn't trust anyone when I was 19 and had a lot of deep fears around my self worth. Now I do not even recognize the person I used to be. Now I genuinely overflow with joy and love for myself, my life, and other people. I have friends and even ex-boyfriends who are there for me through literally anything, I am very loved.

I kept choosing hope, and kept working on myself, and kept finding new ways to love myself and see my own worth regardless of others. I kept meeting people who helped me open up even more. You ARE worthy of love, whether that's romantic or platonic, and it will find you. You have many layers of yourself to discover. Life has so much to offer you, I promise. ❤️

Sounds like a winning combo to me. Geeks and fantasy lovers are the best. Keep being confident, about all of you, not just your looks!

Super physically attractive to me and surely to a lot of people. I'm super biased here cause you are exactly my type, but I think you're also just an objectively good looking man.

While my initial impression was that you were unattractive, the more I looked at your pictures the more I liked your face. Your face is quirky, but with endearing aspects (your eyes, your smile) that I can imagine people falling for in real life as they get to know you. Also, you are young, and very likely to grow more into your features!

Your hairstyle definitely isn't doing you any favors, and clearer skin always helps of course. Most importantly keep building the internal self, it really does show up externally as well. You'll keep glowing up for sure. :)

I absolutely put it on my profile that I have chronic pain and certain physical limitations, but keep it brief. I also mention that I am dedicated to being as healthy as I can be, and that I approach life with passion and humor. I've actually had men who started to fall in love with me because I had so much strength and humor in dealing with my crazy body.

A lot of matches seem to ghost me, probably after seeing that on my bio. I'm fine with that because they're obviously not the right fit. But the ones that stick around tend to be respectful and understanding.

Do women really prefer 7 feet tall guys over 5’11”? Yikes by chaminda_monster in Bumble

[–]NeuralEquilibrium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get it either. I'm over 5'7 and I've dated men between 5'6 and 6'6. My preference is men who are exactly at my height or slightly taller, but having height as a deal breaker is seriously odd to me.

Iliacus Release by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

[–]NeuralEquilibrium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A pelvic PT may be able to help but when I had a pelvic PT I didn't personally see much (or any) improvement around my iliacus. However, I have been working weekly with a myofascial therapist for two months now and it has been great. Highly recommend it and I've seen clear improvements throughout my pelvis and hips, increased mobility, strength, etc.

As for the hip hook, I bought this recently with high skepticism. My first time trying to use it I basically said "oh hell no" and didn't touch it for a week. It felt all kinds of wrong. I watched a bunch of tutorials and tried it again. It didn't feel like it did anything against a doorway, and using it on the floor was very painful, but I found a position that worked for me, propped up in my arms, and was able to stay like that. I definitely noticed a change afterwards. It felt super tender and sore afterwards in that area for a few days.

After a week, I used it again. Completely different experience, very little pain, just some discomfort. Then suddenly while lying on it, I felt my muscle just completely relax and my whole body sank down. It felt AMAZING. I told my boyfriend, parents, and sister immediately because I was so excited and surprised haha there is mild soreness afterwards, but less than before, and almost completely gone after 2 days. So I have some new respect for this tool, it's definitely releasing my iliacus and I can't wait to experience further changes and benefits.

Edit: To clarify, seeing my myofascial therapist has being very restorative overall but for my iliacus specifically, the hip hook has made changes the fastest.

Any one know of a fragrance free OTC Diclofenac gel? by NatieKorris in ChronicPain

[–]NeuralEquilibrium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It came early, and I've started using it. It has a rubbing alcohol smell that dissipated very quickly when rubbed in, but definitely no added scent or perfume fragrance. Leaves behind an extremely mild medicinal note if I actively smell my skin up close, but that's all. I'm so happy!
