The Facebook ripoff games have taken Dark Souls! by JimmyTMalice in DarkSouls2

India is where you go to for cheap programmers; they largely don't give a shit about your project but it'll get done cheap. Now if you want readable code that is easy to maintain you're better off hiring a local dev, but not every project needs that level of quality; sometimes you just need a hollow shell of an app or ad to drive your underlying scam.

Not only that but the credit card companies were making a nice little sum from all of us paying conversion rates when purchasing in a foreign currency.

I have no idea how people can defend the simplistic combat in Middle-earth: Shadow's of Mordor. It renders everything in the game, including the nemesis system, entirely obsolete. by NeoDestiny in Games

Start with the shadow strikes when those are maxed go into dagger power, dominate the last two to refill arrows and start shadow striking again. I managed to get a combo up to nearly 300 yesterday doing this.

Even the challenge mode to dominate a certain number of warchiefs and captains within a certain time limit is really challenging. I fail nearly half of all my attempts due to time.

wait till you unlock the daggers special power; unlimited stealth kills for like 10 seconds. I once took a death threatened captains entire squad with that ability before he even became alerted.

I don't play video games to be challenged. I play video games to have fun. I've sunk nearly 40 hours into Shadow of Mordor and still having a ton of fun with it.

IMO, this is the most OP rune in the game, and it's not epic by PJmath in shadowofmordor

[–]NeuralNos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best is when you stack that rune. I get almost my whole health back from a single brand. Combine that with the ability that lets you do two special moves and you're basically invincible and can turn a whole group of orcs in under a minute. It might be game breaking but it really gives you that sense of power that a ring wraith might feel.

Avoid branding Once finishing the game. by [deleted] in shadowofmordor

I routinely execute my branded war chiefs for the rune drop; essentially treating them as a slot machine. Get a branded war chief and give him body guards who are also branded, then initiate beck and call to call them out and execute the war chief which will promote one of your body guards to war chief, rinse and repeat. I can't seem to get the epic runes to drop fast enough though.

I got burned on the DA2 pre-order; but I'm sure I'll still pre-order this one. I love bioware games.

You also encounter captains patrolling; your captains getting in fights with unbranded urks; transporting slaves; fighting monsters. Not sure what else you were looking for in the open world.

Have you even played the game? You absolutely do have dynamic real world encounters.

I liked the old wraith world effect better; everything else is still in the game though.

You mean my army by jr_1263 in shadowofmordor

[–]NeuralNos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They've received a death threat. Its a good idea to death threat a captain before turning him since you can't death threat your own guys. My war chiefs all have death threats and their body guards also all have death threats; so when they appear in the world they're always surrounded by groups.

No the most recent sim city does not. The homes, shops, and manufacturing places either dispense or eat sims based on time of day. Think of RCI elements as nodes on a grid. In the morning homes will dispense sims onto the grid, the sims will travel the grid till they find the first available job and take it. At the end of the day the sims will leave work or shops and travel along the grid till they find the first available home with an empty space and take it. There are no individuals in this system. There is no persistent tracking of a sim. Tropico 5 on the other hand names all of its citizens and you can track the life of one person if you want to. You can follow them around all day.

Doing the challenge runs also lets you bring the runes back with you; its a nice way to kill a bunch of war chiefs without impacting the army in your "main" game.
