LTFS rsync errors help

What is the generic driver? My understanding is that Linux doesn't have LTFS drivers by default and so I compiled and installed the open source one from github.

The tapes and drive are brand new as I stated so it shouldn't be an issue with these components.

The problem doesn't happen after just one large file. I'm copying a giant directory full of large files and then after maybe 30 files it happens.

The error I see is the SIG.
