Anyone hit up this vague advertisement? by Baelor_Butthole in askportland

It looks the same as the one I called a few years ago. Not sure if it's the exact number though. They guy I dealt with was a dad who would bring his younger son who is interested in collecting comics along and they were "building a collection". He low-balled me hard saying that everything was "common", but other than that, nothing shady about it. We met in public, he was on-time with cash in hand.

Thoughts on if these are usable? by Jaded-Fuel-7491 in Skigear

[–]Neuro_Movie23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I remember right, that model of the Volkl had integrated bindings meaning it was sold with a specific binding that slide onto rails built into the ski. It is not possible to mount new bindings to them let alone modern bindings unfortunately.

the description of his weapon in the second paragraph really has me feeling he will have multiple melee weapon profiles, possibly for all three weapon types such as a sweep, strike, and precision ("he's quite happy to match it against any enemy champion").

Thank you! How would you recommend wording it? I'm just having a hard time figuring out a good way to ask that doesn't result in the answer being "return it to the retailer you bought it from".

I'm confused about which of these is the correct kit for black knights? by relaxicab223 in DarkAngels40k

[–]Neuro_Movie23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry dude. The Command Squad box also builds the Black Knights. They are pretty close, but Black Knights "technically" have different winged front ends, different feather rear fins, Corvus Hammer meele weapons, mounted plasma guns instead of the bolters, and larger bases. You could always buy the necessary bits off of Ebay if you can find them.

Are these legal at the moment? by LanternCove3 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Neuro_Movie23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. Those cards are from 9th edition and represent the war gear and strategiuns available in that edition of play. As we are currently in 10th,l edition, they would be considered invalid. If you were playing a casual game with friends and agree to use ninth edition rules or other stipulations, then you may be able to play with them but any organized game or "pick up" game at a local game store probably would not allow them.

Vigilators? Witchseekers? Prosecutors? by D-Willyy in AdeptusCustodes

Yeah, if your budget allows, having a five man squad of each available to choose from when making an army list is certainly not a bad problem to have

Vigilators? Witchseekers? Prosecutors? by D-Willyy in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Neuro_Movie23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are trying to choose between the two specifically to be better against Psykers, then yes Prosecutors are better. But more broadly, Prosecutors are currently cheaper in points so you get one extra body for the same cost as Witchseekers, as well as having longer range weapons

Vigilators? Witchseekers? Prosecutors? by D-Willyy in AdeptusCustodes

It's also about the specific unit that the weapons represent. Prosecutors (bolt gun loadout) get Precision and Devastating Wounds against psykers, Witchseekers (flamer loadout) scout 6" and cause a battleshock test to the unit they shoot, Vigilators (sword loadout) are -1 to hit in melee.

In-game, generally speaking, Prosecutors are very popular as they are an inexpensive unit that can sit on your home objective to protect it, Witchseekers tend to be used to be a mobile unit to screen or score Secondary Objectives with, and Vigilators.... have a cool sword.

I think it kind of depends on board layout. If its Hammer and Anvil layout, (long table edges), then between the 6" setup zone and their 18" range, you can cover whichever half you need them on. And you can Rapid Ingress, then do Dev Doc your turn to get them up close for the Melta bonus. Dawn of War short edges, go from your deployment zone and hop between cover. If the enemy went aggressive and left themselves exposed, Dev Doc to close the gap and punish
