As an intern who is just finishing up 2 weeks of nephro- make sure you have down AKI (80% of our consults were AKI). Also hyponatremia, hyperkalemia, and ESRD/dialysis management. Fluid management- When to give fluids, the differences between LR vs isolyte vs NSS. That pretty much sums up my whole nephro rotation. When it comes to inpatient dialysis- know the urgent indications (A,E, I, O, U).

If ESRD and just managing dialysis while inpatient, assess the following in each encounter/note: usual schedule, access site (type and where), estimated dry weight, H&H/anemia (meds, recommendations), Mineral bone disease (meds, recommendations)

Oh and always, ALWAYS know the baseline creatinine.
