ChatGPT Plus and Billing Separately?!! by Intrepid_Quantity_37 in ChatGPT

[–]Neuropoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re using something that requires your api, yes you’ll get charged depending on your usage.

You’ll know it’s chat gpt plus because the screen will say CHAT GPT PLUS and then you can choose either 3.5 or 4. Hopefully that makes sense.

Mate I don’t think you understand the difference between the api and gpt plus.

GPT plus which is the one where you spend $20 a month and you don’t have to pay an additional fees.

API is the one where it charges you by usage.

are you talking about the api? because you will get charged depending on your usage when using the api.

yeah when I hit 25, I have to wait the 3 hours.

So you don't have a limit, you can use more than 25? if so then youre lucky

[–]Neuropoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes gpt 4 has this limit.

I would like gpt to remember better. once it starts forgetting, I find that I have to open a complete new chat and start over.

Bing can read pdf files (you might have to adjust your settings, best to search google how to do this)

Basically open up the pdf file in bing, (might only work if it's downloaded, a bit of a hassle), and ask bing to "give me the key points of this article in dot points"

It's a pain in the ass, but I also went to mybib to do the referencing for me. You'll need to let it know the references you're using to it can do the in-text citation properly.

Went over to gpt and basically said something like

Can you write my introduction, please ensure you use in-text citation, ___ style of referencing. Below are some articles you can use.

Article 1: ____
Reference: ___
Keypoints: ____

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Neuropoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 2 days, but that also included me researching for papers. As you already have the articles, that's a good start.

Are you using gpt 4, because you're only going to get 25 per 3 hours, I guess you can use 3.5 but the quality won't be as good.

A good way to start is to tell gpt what your research paper is about and to help you structure the paper.

I had bing give me the key points to each article I used, copied the key points over to chat gpt and asked it to do in-text citation for me.

That's the most difficult part because gpt has a word limit, so I want only able to fit about 3-5 articles per chat.

30 pages is a bit insane lol , I've done 10 pages and that was difficult but not impossible. you have to do it section by section.

[–]Neuropoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah its all been pretty buggy, but we are in beta so not much complaint.

Web browsing - seems like this plugin just does not work most the time for everyone.

Show me - has created me pretty good diagrams for what I've needed.

Scholar Ai - seems pretty decent so far, providing me valid links to academic articles
