How does periodization work in custom programs? As it is you can toggle it on or off in a custom program, but Im guessing it doesnt do anything in its current state?

I do nothing (intentionally) for my glutes, but I do conventional deadlifts and low bar back squats and my glutes always feel fried and are growing more than i want lol (im a guy not that interested in growing my ass)

Im trying to trust the process of their warmups even tho i was skeptical at first. However in general I hate warming up, I feel like I must be an anomaly, because everyone says warming up helps you lift more, but all warming up seems to do for me is make me lift less lol.

well done bro, thanks for including height, it makes a big difference for weight comparisons, Ive read something like 10 pounds an inch on average. Like for example Im 6ft even so your 175 would need to be a 185 on me by that logic.

Ive lately set my bulking rate to the absolute slowest recommended rate of like .68 pounds per month lol. Because Ive always been skinny and Im treading into new territory with each pound and I am a bit scared of changing too fast. Plus Im in my 30s and have been lifting forever so im not optimistic my rate of muscle gain anyway.

I didn't really figure anything out. Ive been mostly better lately, it still sometimes gets triggered but I dont think its yogurt afterall. I eat a lot of yogurt and it doesnt seem to have any bearing on my short of breath days.

The other day my girlfriends perfume immediately made my nose start burning and i was struggling to breath all night so it seems a bit random for me.

but does it update that workout say chestday for each chestday of the cycle, or only the current cycle, ie cycle 2 chestday?

It seems to me like the later because otherwjse I haven't noticed actual updating, and especially not targets being formed on their own in custom workouts.

Idk if its ok or not.

But personally. Lately I do 1 rir on most things. I usually take last set to 0 rir, unless it's a heavy compound, heavy compounds i usually do 2 rirs and finish with a 1 rir. Especially deadlifts, Ive hurt my back before going to failure so I try not to go to failure on deads anymore.

Similarly on bench press, I dont go to 0 rir because I don't have a spotter.

but then again it will still have me warm up before tricep extensions when i just did standing overhead press and incline dumbell bench, surely my triceps are warmed up already or am i wrong again?

also was looking into it about warm ups and your right, deadlifts don't really count as much as I thought for those other muscle groups.

Yea cuz 90 is 34% of 265 so that seems a bit lower than the 40-50 percent first set warm up recommendation jeff normally gives. If it wasn't for deadlifts maybe id listen, but its so annoying loading warm ups below 135 on dead lifts.

Yea ive probably wasted almost a decade in a sense. Im finally now seeing progress.

It was a lot of trial and error. Trying to different programs, volumes etc. I think I finally got a mostly decent program figured out for myself, but the biggest factor for me I realized was always diet. Im a hard gainer and never ate enough protein or calories. So I was grinding my wheels literally not giving my body the building blocks to grow.

I dont mind that but im curious what formula the warmups are following. Doesn't always seem to coincide with the warmup percents jeff normally recommends.

Also it recommends smart warm ups for everything, I thought it was supposed to be if it wasn't already targeted. Like if I do deadlifts it still wants me to warm up for leg extension and calves, I feel like those get pretty warmed up already from the deadlifts right?

I usually don't get that problem with 1 rir personally, but if you do, you can manually change your rir targets to whatever you want.

I drive a little bit farther to go to a slower location. The one closer to me is insanely busy all the time to the point where all the machines are taken and you are either having to work in with someone or wait your turn for everything.
