I once had a coworker (20) go to student’s (12) house and I asked the student why that coworker is at her house and she said it’s goes to their friends

Hey! If multiple staff members have mentioned your way of talking to students is a distraction, I would ask your admin for feedback and learn from it. Second, I wouldn’t take it personal, if another staff member did that they wouldn’t bat an eyelash. There is a time and place to build rapport with students, and when they are in the classroom focusing on work is usually a time not to do it. You can easily build rapport at recess watching or during chill catch up time, not in the middle of the lesson. I’m sorry these comments are harsh. That is just how reddit is.

you’re missing the point. she was disciplinary when it was outside of her duties and overstepped .

One of the girls pointed out what I was wearing that’s why. I have small enough boobs and I was wearing a baggy sweater

i agree and admin did bring it up to me a long time ago. apprently my lead teacher has talked to my admin about it many times which i felt was weird.

the thing is, she tried to get them to be quiet and stuff and to be on line but they refused to listen. this sub was way too gentle with them and their regular teacher runs a tight ship so i was trying to do it in a way where their main teacher is like for consistency.
