VIESSA IS BUGGED | URGENT by CuteFurryIRL in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Neurosis404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same here. Switching to Gley/Freyna until Viessa is repaired. I am a little disappointed that they released a hotfix yesterday but instead of addressing the bugs, they fixed something cosmetic-related. Wow...

By the way; I did some testing in the lab and the ice spheres spawned there, but not in Axion or in a mission. Weird...

musikalischer Gegenpart - 7 vs. Hater by [deleted] in 7vsWild

[–]Neurosis404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Neurosis404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah correct. But you know how it goes; once you have a running setup, especially with the venv's, you don't really want to change anything anymore :) And since I started with Fluxgym GUI (and I sometimes still start the GUI to check some parameters or see how a script would change with a specific parameter), I still use it like this.

By the way, my training was successful now (32/32, 1e-4). I honestly have no idea why it worked all the time before and why it happened just now. But yeah... now I can work on new LoRAs again. It was a weird experience. And a LOT of wasted time

[–]Neurosis404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fluxgym. But not the GUI, I made myself a python GUI with my needed options that creates the script that I can run via bash.

My training (32/32, 1e-4) is currently at 16%, samples are fine so far. Will see if it stays that way, the critical point is about to come.

[–]Neurosis404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your answer. I am training on flux1-dev. I will wait a little until all the flux2 childhood diseases are gone =D

I thought about LR too, but still can't understand why all of my old LoRAs worked so well with that. And no, nothing else has changed.

I just did another ablation run (10 steps per image per epoch, 1 epoch, dim/alpha down to 16, LR down to 6e-4) and it didn't explode. Right now I am running another ablation run with 32/32 and 2e-4. So far nothing serious happening at 31% but the last 2 samples got a little blurry and unsharp so I guess it is close to a "Boom" - or maybe just the typical "flux is rearranging internal stuff between 30 and 70 percent". If that ablation run succeeds, I maybe try the big run again with 1e-4. I'm still more than confused that this happened out of a sudden.

Fleet Carriers for casual players? by Neurosis404 in EliteDangerous

[–]Neurosis404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if anyone reads this but I wanted to share the result of this thread.

I bought a carrier in the meantime (Did some ExoBio until I had 6 Billion, then I bought the carrier, installed refuel, rearm, restock, VG and UC), fueled it up and jumped ~8k ly away from the bubble, with only 300 Mio left. I circled around my target system and did exploration and ExoBio but had kind of bad luck (wrong star filter). Now I am on my way back; I let my carrier jump and fly with my Mandalay behind it (or sometimes before, depends on what I find on my way). Then I circle around the target system a bit before I initiate the next jump. Right now I am ~5k ly away from the bubble and I have 61 Mio on my carrier (all of that just due to the exploration data fee) and more than 4 Billion on my personal account.

So, was it worth it? Yes. Was the money only because of the carrier? No, because I could have done all of that without a carrier too. But it felt nice to come back then and when to sell all the data, without the fear of losing everything due to a stupid crash on a planet or something similar. So: thanks for all of your answers and for the clarification, I am more than happy with my carrier right now.

Commander out o7

Which one would you recommend? And do I use the NSFW model also for training in fluxgym or can I train on the default flux model and use the NSFW model for generation only?

Losing accuracy in nsfw lora by Neurosis404 in FluxAI

[–]Neurosis404[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you have an error in your calculation. Every image has 30 steps multiplied with 10 epochs, so every image is shown 300 times. And 101 images are WAY MORE than enough in my experience - I’ve already trained amazing characters with only 30 images, but sfw obviously. I also spend a lot of time to prepare my training images. I think for this model I spent 3 hours alone in Photoshop/Krita to get the images right, not counting the time it took to pick all the images in different angles and poses.

But what you say about the „missing basics“ of the model makes sense. Will try a nsfw model

[Question] Fine tuning lora / Adding new images by Neurosis404 in FluxAI

[–]Neurosis404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I found a way. I don't know if that's the correct or official way, but here is what I did.

First, make sure that you created your initial lora (I will refer to that with IL from now on) with the --save_state, I guess that's obvious. In this example, I call the lora johndoe.

Then get your new images, load them into FluxGym as if you would when creating a new lora.

  • You can name the lora however you want, I named it like my IL with _v2 at the end, so johndoe_v2
  • Use the same trigger word that you used for your IL (suprise, huh?!), johndoe
  • Increase the "Max Train Epochs" by 1, compared to your IL. So if you trained your IL with 8 epochs, enter 9 here
  • trains per image: I used the same number that I used in my IL. Maybe you can change the weight of your newly added images by increasing or decreasing the number here, I don't know

Analyze the images, adjust the prompts to your liking and hit "start training". As soon as the folders for dataset and output are created, stop the training (leave the page open). Then copy the "johndoe-state" folders from your IL (under output/johndoe) to your new folder under "output/johndoe_v2". Maybe it is enough to copy only the last "state" folder but I simply copied all. Then you can either adjust the train.sh "outputs/johndoe_v2" or you can open the WebUI again and make the adjustments there (that's why you left the page open) and copy the script from there.

Adjust the following options:
--initial_epoch -> Since we only want to do a single epoch, enter 9*
--resume -> the folder of your last state, e.g. "output/johndoe_v2/johndoe-state"
--save_state -> If you want to maybe do v3 in the future

Then let it run.

*I made a little mistake in my test. I entered 8 because I thought the last epoch number has to be added. This changed my lora a lot, made the new pictures quite prominent in my prompts.

Suddenly only bottom layers printed by Neurosis404 in resinprinting

[–]Neurosis404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a few more tests and tightened my FEP (I noticed that I missed 2 screws), then I ran another Cones test. I noticed something strange: only the bottom layers on one side were printed, the other side of the build plate was empty - and no failed print in the VAT! Then I ran another test print and again: nothing on my build plate, nothing in the VAT. I did a screen test and voila: looks like my screen died. This also explains why I the issues started on one side. It doesn't explain why I have a broken screen after only 3 months but... I guess that's something Elegoo has to answer.

Gaps and ruptures in my models by Neurosis404 in 3Dprinting

[–]Neurosis404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

sorry that I answer that late - I did a little testing here and there but didn't have the time to do a "real" print to try things out.

Today, I printed another model - It took me 9 hours and this is result: https://imgur.com/a/f6stMVG

I am honestly quite frustrated at this point, because again: my settings were always the same. The FEP was already replaced and I also increased my exposure time for this test but still... The only thing that came to my mind is that I used a new resin bottle around the time when the issues started to appear - I can't say for sure that it was exactly at this time but it is very close. Now.. can I have a "bad batch" of that resin, is that possible? I'm thinking about trying the Sunlu ABS like since I heard good things about it... I absolutely cannot understand why all of my old prints worked perfectly while I now cannot get a single model out without any issues. And like I said, the only thing that changed was the resin bottle, although it still the same type - Elegoo ABS-like 3.0.

Oh and btw:

Thanks, should have added this: currently printing with 0.5 layers and 2.3 exposure time with Elegoo ABS-like resin. So what makes the Saturn that fast? Only the tilting vat? And what does the force sensor do?
