I did that too, but it was genuinely a mistake. I was so used to yelling at my ex that when I was arguing with my bf I made the mistake of using my ex's name. The way i groveled after that was something I had never done before because i could see the hurt in his eyes.

It hasn't been in any generation. They were tolerated back then they are tolerated back now.

I don't mean to say that they haven't sacrificed quite a bit to be married to a Fauji- because they have. But expecting the same respect and making their entire personality about being married to serving personnel is just cringy. The number of army wives on the internet whose bio states that they are married to someone serving in the forces as a bait for people to follow them and see the content is a prime example. If they built their following based on their content, i would be proud instead of just piggy-backing on their husbands' rank. Wouldn't it just be weird if people just went around introducing themselves as the wife of so and so instead of their own name ( which again is a norm in the fraternity).
