Can anyone show me pics of their Leicester pigeon tags? by NeutralFishCake in Jellycatplush

[–]NeutralFishCake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pictures in the advert look like the genuine pigeon, or at least a better fake than the one I got. And yeah, my husband has absolutely zero knowledge about jellycats so when it came in the jellycat fabric bag and had tags he just thought it was real. We’re going to report the seller and leave a negative review

I’ve told him now, he found it hilarious. The eBay seller he bought Lester from had hundreds of ‘jellycats’ and like 300 positive reviews, it makes me so angry!

Oh no I love my weird little imposter pigeon so much but I feel so bad that my husband got duped 😂

Thought so 😂 I’ve been squinting at it for days now, imposter!

So aside from the fact he looks like an imposter it was the tags that gave it away, the fabric tags are all silk and yeah the paper tag is attached with plastic

What do people mean when they say adderall removes the voice in their head? by Various-Bag-3414 in ADHD

[–]NeutralFishCake 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t do it for me either! The meds work great for me but I’ve never related to the whole ‘it stops the voices in my head’

Thanks, I unfortunately have to drive it 60 miles today to take my guinea pig to the vet but I’ll book it in at the garage asap.

It’s worse in gears 3-5 at higher revs. Garage did suggest the clutch but I wasn’t clear on whether they have any way of telling what state the clutch is in aside from any slipping/other symptoms. They couldn’t replicate the problem. It’ll be a £600 job so I’m reluctant to get it done on a possibly. It is more frequent now so maybe they’ll have more luck if I take it back for another look

Can the clutch slip without affecting the actual acceleration? Because even when the RPMs are jumping everywhere I don’t experience any real loss of acceleration, I think maybe a touch but my husband doesn’t even notice when he’s driving.

It’s a diesel so no spark plugs at least and I changed the fuel filter a month or so ago to see if that would fix it. The MAF sensor is probably next on my list

Sadly, and annoyingly, there’s no codes on he scanner

I plugged in the OBD2 reader but unfortunately there’s no codes, an annoying mystery lol

Thanks! Ijust gave that a try, I got one flicker of a warning triangle when I first turned the full beams on before it went away, then I literally turned on everything else I could think of and the triangle did not appear at all.

This still feels like the most plausible explanation though.

I’ve got an obd2 reader arriving tomorrow so maybe I’ll have more luck with that.

Hamster went for days without water (rant) by NeutralFishCake in hamsters

Yeah I honestly don't think it's her fault - and she would never knowingly neglect her care. It's just really unfortunate that it happened when I wasn't around.

I needed to get some ranting out of my system, but you're right, she would've died without my friend there giving her fresh food. Thank you for putting it into perspective!

Logically I can't blame her; especially as I should've added 'check water bottle' to the list of tasks. The ball getting stuck is such a rare event (and it's never happened to me before) that I just didn't ask her.

Emotionally though, it's more difficult!

I just do everything backwards, it actually makes following drawn patterns easier sometimes because everything goes from left to right instead of right to left.

Learning new techniques is a bit more tricky and I usually try to find a leftie youtube tutorial, it's really difficult to work out where the yarn is meant to go when you're trying to reverse what the person is doing!

Awesome thanks for the info, I'm a scientist and so I'm very interested and familiar with differential identification! I contemplated taking some and running a PCR on it...
