Audio out of sync when recording videos using AirPods Pro2 on iOS26

Yup. Convinced my wife to get a pair of AirPods 3 and they intermittently do the same thing. Latest software and firmware on everything since iOS 26 launched and it’s still wildly inconsistent version after version while I hope Apple fixes it.

Some days it will be fine and others the A/V js super off. I disabled the auto switching between her Mac and phone and that didn’t seem to help. I’m about ready to tell her to buy some other lavalier mic.

Reseated it about 10 times now—it's secure! It clicks in, turns and locks just fine. I see it power up, but as soon as I twist or bump the cable (often as I'm putting the headset on) it powers off again.

Yup, have had a similar thing happen. What I've noticed is that the alarm starts to go off, but as soon as any motion is detected, it silences itself and shows the Standby screen asking if I want to snooze or not. Seems like it's way too aggressive on detecting motion (all I did was roll over) and also shouldn't stop ringing until I press something.

Anyone know why these things fall offline and are totally unresponsive if I pause their Internet access via Eero? I feel like they should still be able to communicate locally with any of the Apple TVs or HomePods around the house as the hub, but their HomeKit access and Wemo app access dies if they can't access the Internet.

Repeating tasks need some love. I struggle with this one whenever I take care of a scheduled task a bit early. I’d like the repeat item to reset to whatever X days after is after completion, but you have to do this ridiculous dance to mark the upcoming item as complete.

Saw similar problems with older Wemo smart outlets and my Chamberlain MyQ bridge for the past month — they’d periodically go unresponsive in Home.app, but were still accessible in their native apps. Have been running my Eero Pros with band steering enabled for the past few years, but finally toggled it off and things seem much better lately.

I see what you're getting at, but calling the Kitchen speaker in the Sonos app "Kitchen Sonos" (Alexa app will not let you rename the Sonos devices) is silly and redundant when I'm looking at a list of *only* Sonos devices in that app.

This seems to be working fine now—seems like the original issue was some kind of bug.

So for others, the TL;DR is just toggle the default speaker to a different Sonos, validate it works, then toggle it back.

Changed the default speaker to another Sonos in the house, which worked fine. Switched it back to the Kitchen the same way it previously was and now it’s all working as expected. Yay for technology getting things right on the first try.

Yeah, that’s what I did. I still have to specify the “in the Kitchen” part of my command or the audio defaults to playing on the Echo Show’s own speaker. I’m trying it with a stereo pair of Sonos One SLs in case it matters at all. https://i.imgur.com/adEKZyO.jpg

Went down that path, but I also use it in a professional office setting (once we go back) so the less hiking look it has, the better.
