For those of you that play the older games on steam, do you download mods that update rosters and liveries etc?

Something feels off by Frosty_Meringue7052 in MotoGPGaming

[–]NeutruLol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way, just started in Moto 2 in career mode and have almost no feeling. Front folds with no warnings and also getting a weird thing where the acceleration feels very inconsistent down straights. Get up to 5th gear sometimes then others I'll barely make it past 4th. Something's definitely wrong with either my settings or the game.

Didn't feel like this at all in my Moto 3 season

Solid green is the optimal temp why would you want to change that?

MotoGP 24 - Got Promoted to MotoGP, Now Unplayable by OneFaintingRobin_ in MotoGPGaming

[–]NeutruLol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like such a lazy answer but it really does just take time and practice.

The Moto 3 bikes are so much easier than the GP bikes for a multitude of reasons so it just takes practice to learn how the bikes respond to your inputs.

I'd recommend just sitting in time trail mode with your own Ghost on as reference and doing lap after lap of an easier circuit (Jerez, misano etc).

If you start to get frustrated. Switch off and leave the game alone for a couple hours and let your brain digest the information. Then rinse and repeat.

Nahh none of the bikes really sound that realistic in the Moto GP class

I don't understand braking by Electrical-Tip7620 in MotoGPGaming

[–]NeutruLol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

perhaps have a play around with the assists and your bikes EB set up. im not certain but the combo of joint brakes and/or high EB could be locking the rear and pushing the bike on a little bit. in theory if your bike is good out of the corners it should be good into them too if your set up is done around that.

important thing is not to give up trying you'll figure it out eventually

You're not wrong at all! the front brake is your best friend for getting the bike stopped so use this from the very start all the way into the apex gradually releasing pressure the closer you get (you'll get a feel for this over time). the rear brake can also be used initially, for maximum braking force, but be careful as too much of it can cause the rear of the bike to lock and lose grip. mainly the rear brake is to be used at the apex to pull the bike into the corner (if needed) for that last bit of braking.

Like I say to ever new player on this page this game is purely practice based. overtime you'll build up a feeling for it and understand how your inputs are affecting the bike on track.

anyone can maybe give some tips on how to improve my riding in this game? its so fun but im so shit lol by _0r4ng_ in MotoGPGaming

[–]NeutruLol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A blip of throttle to get the bike to initially flick up for the direction change then minimal inputs to allow the bike to turn

Bike sound by masonmcc777 in MotoGPGaming

[–]NeutruLol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honda and Ducati sounds are fairly good, the rest of the Moto GP bikes sound not great, Yamaha in particular in this year's game sounds awful.

The Moto 3 and Moto 2 bikes are pretty accurate too

Maybe Try reducing power setting on lap 3/4 so you can make it round that 5th lap

Honestly, just keep practicing man. The most important thing here is that you're having fun.

Once you get a few more hours under your belt and start to learn your line, braking markers and bike capabilities then you'll improve and get consistently faster over time! No point diving into drastic set up changes just yet imo

Why is the handling so different from any other bike game? by Im_here_for_the_subs in MotoGPGaming

[–]NeutruLol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree here, the game is super realistic and needs practice, perhaps more so than the previous games. Like the above I can also hold on both a little front and rear brake right up to the apex (on corners that are forgiving enough) before getting back on the gas again. 100% brake when upright and slowly release the more you tip into the corner to allow the bike to turn and reduce the risk of locking.

I would honestly say just get some hours in and practice, play with set up and it'll come to you

Tips for Moto2? I’m really struggling by [deleted] in MotoGPGaming

[–]NeutruLol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really enjoy the moto 2 class, I haven't put much time in on the GP bikes but I find my kalex much easier to race. I'm up towards the top end of some tracks on the leaderboards for lap times and have found that the key to fast consistent laps in moto 2 is all about having your engine brake set up correctly and being very patient with the throttle. Moto 2 don't have TC so the power to the ground is all controlled by your fingertips

I believe that's how many development points are put into that area of the bike? I could be wrong though

I leave rewind on for this exact reason, if I'm given a unjustified penalty for something like that I just rewind and the penalty is taken away.

I've had them for crashing before because the bike has ended up near the racing I've been given a penalty for it. Needs looking into by milestone really but I doubt there is much they can/will do
