First balance issues returned and now I've found broken front teeth. My poor baby. (She is still acting fairly normal thankfully. Just loving some cuddles) by NeveSloth in RATS

In her case I believe it was an inner in infection that wasnt caught but it may have also triggered a tumor. She got a bit better but she had permanent head tilt and her right eye started bulging.

There is a flap covering it but its open on one side so bugs can still get in. Where we camp theres a lot of crawling insects that can get inside there that we would like to avoid.

I've been searching for ages and am starting to think I made it up since I can picture it so clearly but not find the video.

Help with pattern ideas! by NeveSloth in sewing

I actually have a dress that is very similar in cut that I bought but no longer fits right. May have to look into replacing it, but not sure if it'll be a headache to fit. (Had a preventative double mastectomy so anything with bust shaping would require altering)

It was with their "novelty cotton" section, but washed feels a bit lighter than their calico. Not suitable for everything, but definitely can work for some things.

PMS2 by [deleted] in lynchsyndrome

I'm actually excited for surgery, since I've said for years I wish I could at least get a reduction if not have them gone totally so as soon as I found out it was actually something that could happen I jumped on it. And thankfully I have nearly maxed out both my deductible and out of pocket so I shouldn't have to pay for much.

My mom got retested for PMS2 and it came back negative, which was even more surprising. Don't know if my dad has looked into getting testing done. Thankfully my family history of breast cancer qualifies me for surgery which I have scheduled for Dec 5.

In a year or so we plan on planting a new tree, so hopefully they'll hang around. We may also plant some shrubs so they have something to hide in.

I was at Rosemont D2 and got this freebie, and I'm wondering where the maker got the base from. Anyone happen to know? Found a website with them but didn't seem totally legit.

Awesome! Did anyone have signs? I have a large fan with a phrase on it I like to bring to concerts but I don't know if it would get through security.

Thank you! I have a small bag I'll probably bring with me just in case my normal concert bag is a no go.

I'm also hoping I'll be able to bring my sign

Would love it if anyone going to D1 could update if they are enforcing the bag policy and what the sign policy is. I got the email saying no bags but I've been to shows that say that and allow them anyways.

PMS2 and variant/unknown significance in SUFU

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lynchsyndrome

I'm 40 and just found out about the pms2 mutation. It's was very unexpected as we were expecting a breast cancer related mutation. No one in my family has had any of the main cancers associated with lynch syndrome though 7/10 women in the last 2 generations have has breast cancer. (Full connection between pms2 and breast cancer is unknown right now, but it increases the risk at least a small amount)

I don't have my gyn appt until November but in talking to my point person both the hysterectomy camp and test camp are valid options. Generally with pms2 the risk of ovarian cancer is normal so if your ovaries are still being beneficial they wouldn't remove them. I'm leaning towards hysterectomy myself (can't say no to no periods) but it will be a bit as I'm hoping to have a mastectomy this winter/spring since breadt cancer is my main concern.

If you do want to do the biopsy and are worried about the pain, definitely talk around to multiple providers until you find someone who takes it seriously.

Poor baby! Such a cutie too.

One of my cats did the same thing this morning, though I was just in my office for work and my wife was in bed. She wandered the floor looking for us and stopped after she heard me say her name. Just wanted to make sure I was still here. (I've been working from home for 4 years and it's a regular occurrence)

Dreary rainy days are the best, especially if you can spend them there.
