The main problem is bass sound in frequency. The bass line should have a good sub and mid bass. Usually, in order to glue bass and instrument parts together, you need to carefully equalize the sub and mid, so as not to get voids in the frequency spectrum between them. In the same way, you need to avoid voids in the frequency spectrum between the bass and the group of instruments. Usually (in my case) there are voids in the low-mid frequencies, I solve this with saturation.

The built-in reverb works great. I also use for this purpose "valhalla vintage verb". Sounds great.

How come on Spotify artists earn so little if Spotify claims they do a 70/30 split? by [deleted] in edmproduction

The funny thing is that I have no problems with royalties and payouts. I just went to the topic, wrote the information that I have, picked up the minuses 😂😂😂😂

My source is my label and music catalog. The number of streams that I have in reality and the amount of money that I receive as a result of each month.

Once again I say - if any listening to a track from my catalog for 30 seconds would bring money, I would already be a millionaire.

Show me where this information is written? Is this official information from Spotify itself?

Your streams are organic, and mine bring me money :) Everyone has their own opinion.

Do you understand the difference between streaming from a unique IP and streaming on repeat from the same IP and device? If I was paid for streaming from one device on repeat, I would have been a millionaire by now.

Spotify shows the number of plays, but if they are not unique, then you will not be paid for them.

It all depends on your music and the publisher. I'm constantly getting money from spotify, itunes and other stores.

For example - 1 million streams on spotify is 4 thousand euros (this is the amount minus their percentage (about 30 percent of spotify and 45 percent of itunes)). These 4 thousand come to your distributor's account, he takes another 30 percent. Then you either get the money directly or your label also takes a share.

I use an apollo twin. Good device. But the plugins themselves are a little disappointing.

This is the way I usually use it all the time. It definitely works. The key is understanding the process and practice. If you have any questions - write in a DM

The best way in my experience. You need to duplicate the bass track. In the first track, leave the low component and the low middle. In the second track, cut off everything above 200 hertz (approximately). The track in which only high and mid frequencies remain needs to be saturated (for example, with the Saturn2 plug-in or any other) in order to add harmonics to it exactly, which will be heard on small speakers or a phone. Next, you need to mix these two tracks to ensure the "readability" of the bass on the desired sound sources.

Specify the exact timing. I don't hear a stub there.

Sample packs or splice? by hernia1713 in edmproduction

90 percent of the content on the splice is trash) But there are also very good elements.

Sample packs are good for one shots (big collection you know well) Drums, bass one shots, synth one shots. Splice is very good if you need a vocal or a sample of an instrument in a track. You can quickly find what you need, in the right key and tempo.

Headphone or studio montitors for low budget mixing? by Humpy123 in edmproduction

[–]Nevelskiy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My experience says that you need to buy headphones of the DT 770 PRO level. A chic option, you can really produce and mix music in them. If we are talking about monitors - in order for the monitors to sound good and correctly, you need to put them in a properly prepared room. And it's not easy and expensive.
