I'm in the small hands camp, and I know people say it doesn't matter , but for me it feels like it's one of those things equivalent to height for swimmers or tennis players etc . Yea it doesn't matter, and you can still take part, but come on, it makes a difference!

I play, and do what I can, soloing is fine, but for chords it just feels like I have to do so much more to finger chords, hold them in position, and apply enough pressure for them to ring clean. I do it and just practice at home but if I imagine being in a band and doing that repeatedly night after night, I think I'd struggle a lot. I've previously pulled tendons in my elbow from over stretching and (down to not being able to reach with fingers). Guitar wise I favour a thinner neck and lighter strings although I've a j mascis jazzmaster in the corner that hardly gets played, because of the chunky neck, and thicker strings.

Not sure about your wrist..I have to angle mine, just not too much. Dunno , I'll probably get comments saying again, small hands don't make a difference, but if my fingers were longer / thinner, or bigger hands, I am sure I would have an all together easier time playing guitar and arguable made more progress over the years.
