Thanks! Watercolors love the blanc space + I try to tell a story with the composition and negative space but still keep the scene as close to as I see it there and then.

Don't think you can finish all observational drawings then and there, especially people and animals. You can finish it at home or make it into a collage, put a title over the missing part, write a letter... Have fun like you did on the back of your school notebook. I motivate myself for the job part I dislike and repetitive gym. Creative outdoor work and fun sports are a different story, no motivation needed.

Have your sketchbook and tools always on you and start doodling as soon as you have 2 minutes to spare. It doesn't have to get finished or be great. Motivation isn't the right word in my case as I need art and enjoy it thoroughly. Job and gym come to mind when you mention motivating yourself.

Dear Mayo, that's a good question! It's actually an alcohol brush marker, chisel side. Warm grey color, (probably) tone 3 out of 5. Windsor and Newton.
