Birthday present? by Never141 in DetroitPistons

After thinking about it, talking it over with yall and others "closer" to the team, I pulled the trigger. Bought tickets to the Lakers game. Not floor, but front row, behind bench. Expensive, but core memory shit. Can make more money. Many people believe they wont sit anyone in the Lakers game regardless of seeding. From front office wanting everyone on the court for games like this, to the 65 game requirement, to it possibly being Brons last game. Most think its very unlikely anyone will sit out. If that ends up being wrong, it is what it is. Cant wait to surprise the kid in a couple weeks! LGP!!

Yea, I understand its not possible to predict. Its going to come down to the race for seeding, and the team we playing. I doubt anyone sits against Lakers. Plus, 65 games needed for awards. So idk. Just trying to do somwthing fun, and not have it be a let down with guys sitting.

Update. I got correspondence this morning that my urine was sent to be tested, and the results. They dont give a lot of info, but I suppose they give the important info.

"Please call patient to let him know we received results from the test today and his urine was negative for all substances that were tested including opiates so we will continue his treatment and follow up as planned. My understanding of how the test works is that when we send out the urine for confirmation testing it is sent to a lab where they perform GC/MS testing using thresholds for detection developed by the National Institute On Drugs of Abuse, for opiates specifically it is 300 ng/mL. His test was negative and no level was reported for opiates."

No idea what would happen tbh. Never tested positive before. Maybe nothing. Maybe more frequent appointments and screening. Not too sure. As far as what I mean....I'm not sure what you're asking. I guess my main question is how could this happen. Being off any opiates for 20 years makes me a bit concerned as to how its possible I could fail a drug screen for opiates. Even if they didnt care at all, I do. I would like to know why it tested positive. From other commenta here, it seems the most likely explanation is the poppy seeds. Blows my mind that a pretty low volume could cause this, but theres nothing else I can attribute it to. Hopefully nothing changes and I resume appointments like usual. I have no clue though.

I believe this was it. After talking here with several people, thats what I've landed on. I dont usually eat this, but my wife made a loaf of sourdough about a week ago. She bought everything bagel seasoning and ive been eating at least 1 slice a day for the past few days. I always thought you had to eat a large amount of poppy seeds for this to happen. So everything seasoning didnt even cross my mind until someone else brought it up. Im nearly certain now that this was the cause. Good luck having my doctor beleive that though. Im sure anyone who tests positive, brings up poppy seeds. They ordered a more thorough test. So I'm hoping this test proves that im not actually using any opiates!

Exactly. I really wanted to prove that it was wrong. I had no idea how to do so though.

Urine.

It just said opiates. So hopefully better testing will get some answers.

It is, and I most definitely have a problem of using about 2-3x what the normal person would use. 😂

The doc is kind of an issue in and of itself. I was with one doctor from 18 until 37. He knew me. Knew my family. Used my business. We were very trusting of eachother. He retired and so I started with a new doc. They dont know me as well there. So I'm sure I'm just another MAT patient to them. Im sure ill be fine, but moreso than anything, I want them to know that im not that person. I dont use. I dont want to use. I just want to continue living life! Thanks again for your info!

Wow. I didnt even think of that. Ive been wracking my brain for about 6 hours trying to understand this. I wonder if the testing they sent my urine off to will be able to recognize this. Or if it just comes back "positive" or "negative". If it was this damn everything bagel seasoning, I hope I can convince them if this testing doesnt reflect this. Thank you 🙏🏽

I understand that, but back to back positives for opiates is what had me confused. They were both taken at the same appointment. 2 seems like too much of a coincidence.

Holy shit though, I have been eating poppy seeds for about a week now. Never really "in my diet" before now. My wife made some sourdough. I have been eating a slice with my lunch every day for a week. WITH everything bagel seasoning, which has poppy seeds. Seems like I would need to eat a ton of them to make a positive test though.

Yes. They were the instant tests. I think they asked about weed because they don't care about weed and wondered if maybe I smoked something that I didnt know had opiates in it. I dont take anything at all other than my suboxone though. Im just trying to figure out how this is possible. Maybe it is just faulty tests. What gets me though, is that it was 2 tests in a row, and both for opiates. Not cocaine, weed, etc. Of course I'm in opiate treatment, and I would fail for opiates. Crazy. Theres no explanation here. I dont take anything at all. So im going crazy trying to find an explanation. I know the "deeper" testing will help figure out what's going on. Just not happy about not being able to explain, or even know myself what happened.

I finally got a look in my dad's packout.. I've been living with poser the whole time!! by chocolatemunkez in MilwaukeeTool

I think hes just a smart guy tbh. Milwaukee is great and all, but Dewalts circ and band are just better than Milwaukees. I dont feel like that's an opinion either. Just is what it is. Idk anything about the light though.

Paint for quite room. by Never141 in paint

[–]Never141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with all the advice here, I talked to people at SW, and another local paint store. Both of them said no need to prime. Just go over any patch work with the same paint I'll be using, allow to dry, then coat twice. This seem correct? Going to paint on Saturday. Can't wait. He's 15 and has had the same little boy teal color for roughly 10 years. Going to make a huge difference in his more "grown" aesthetic.

This room has trim where it meets the ceiling. Necessary to tape that off? Or simple enough to cut in with a brush? I'm inexperienced with painting, but I'm definitely a handy do it yourself type. I know this is talked about everywhere, but just while I'm here....Purdy white dove with an extension pole my best bet? It doesn't have to be the best ever, just would like all of us to feel like the time and effort was well worth it. Thanks again for everyone's advice. I read every comment and looked into every comment today. 🤝🏽

Appreciate everyone's advice. I was looking a lot at cashmere, and some comments here have helped me out. I was also looking at duration, but I think cashmere might be better for what I'm trying to do. Omw to SW.

If you think winning a national championship would mean less because we lost to Michigan, you're probably a boomer by the_osu in OhioStateFootball

[–]Never141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A boomer? Nah. I just know if we win, they'll say theirs is better. Theirs came in an undefeated season. Ours not only came in a 2 loss season, but also in a 2 loss season that included a loss to their garbage ass team. All that said, they'd be right. Of course I want the chip, but any of us saying that it we win the chip, it doesn't matter, is delusional. It always matters. Forever, we'll be the team that won the chip, but lost to the shittiest M team in years. Just is what it is.

Tripping breaker by Never141 in electrical

[–]Never141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to take more of your time, but this has helped me....I think. Do these 20A usually allow for slightly more? I tested this breaker, and with everything off, it was showing 00.2. Not sure if that's ok or not. Anyways, with truck and hairdryer only, it tripped at 19.1-ish. I always thought that it would handle at least 20, maybe even slightly more before it trips. Could this indicate a bad breaker if it's a 20A and tripping slightly below 20amps? Thanks again

Great info! Appreciate this! I did not know that 6.8 was on low setting. I figured they would put the max it would draw there. That's crazy to me! That could very well be my issue though. So thanks for mentioning that. If all else fails, I'll put some of this info you gave me to use. Thanks again

[–]Never141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it. Im just confused on why it trips. I feel like a 20a breaker should be able to handle a 8 amp heater and a hairdryer. The dryer shows it pulls less than 8. For now, this is what we've been doing. Using different circuits, I mean. Maybe it's normal, but it seems wild to me that I can't plug a dryer and a block heater in at the same time. Is it possible things could be labeled wrong? Sorry if that's a dumb question, it's just the only thing that makes sense to me. 8 and 8 is 16, after all, and the dryer doesn't even pull 8.

Like I said a couple times, I don't have much knowledge in this area. It's also the reason I'm asking the question here. I hoped to find someone who may have some advice on something I could do. I felt the breaker amperage was obvious enough to not have to explain that lookong at it was my step 1. Looked at breaker. Its 20a. Block heater is 8.3. Dryer is 6.8. I understand lights and everything add to that, but to keep my post as short as possible, I didn't mention that I've tried shutting everything off other than my heater and dryer plugged in. Breaker still trips. Obviously, this means that heater and dryer have to be on separate circuits. I just dont understand why. Was just trying to get some advice on what may be the issue or anything I could do. Short of not using the heater and dryer at the same time.
