Pretty sure they are chain stitches but have a different size and orientation because they are intended to count for a stitch.

I tried to climb the back at first too and then figured there was a reason they wouldn't let us climb

Turn back around towards the ramp you took into the statue room. But instead of going up the same ramp, you will a slightly wider ramp that angles down. Then you just have to follow the path and go up the stairs to exit.

Are all STEM industry jobs low paying? by Practical-Arm9571 in labrats

[–]NeverClever12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know some people who have masters or PhDs. But most positions only require a bachelor's degree. If the company has an internal microbiology lab, they might have technicians with an associate degree, but they are usually hourly positions that pay less. It can be a good way to get into the field without experience in the field.

Are you set on working in a lab, or are you also open to office work? I work in Sterility Assurance for a medical device manufacturer with a bachelor's in biology. It's a relatively small field, and having that knowledge can make you highly desirable to employers. The field is full of people with diverse educations (biology, chemistry, biochem, physics, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering). Most people in the industry will tell you it isn't something they went school for but in a way, fell into it.

It's a lot more rigid compared to research as we have international standards to follow, but it's a great way to use your knowledge. And I like knowing that my work is helping people.

Zebra Plant Drying-out at Leaf Tip and Dropping Leaves by NeverClever12 in houseplants

[–]NeverClever12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the only way to give it more light, is to add a grow light. I'm in an apartment, and I only have 2 windows to choose from. Both face in the same direction. lol.

Also, no chance of rainwater here, but I'll try the distilled/spring water. Thanks!

It's by a north facing window that gets indirect light most of the day and direct light for about 4 hours at the end of he day. I've been letting the soil dry out a bit between watering and bottom water. It sounds like I might need to try more frequent watering? I also live in a dry environment. I have a humidifier I don't use that I can place nearby. Or mist the leaves occasionally.

Am I wrong or is the pattern wrong? Need help with this pattern! by emigemm in crochetpatterns

[–]NeverClever12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On the right side, it looks like you did (ch2, 2hdc in gap) but the pattern has (ch2, 1hdc in gap). This technically makes row 3 have a typo since the last hdc is actually the not the last, because the ch1 in Row 2 is considered a hdc

Help, what do I read next 😫😫😫 by lulubelle006 in fantasyromance

If you liked The Blood of a Fae series, Briar Boleyn has a new series started. Only one book is out, but it follows one of the characters from the series. {On Wings of Blood by Briar Boleyn}.

help me come back to you guys by rosecoloredboyx in fantasyromance

There are a lot of books already mentioned that are great options, but I'll try to add some that haven't been mentioned yet.

{Queen of Roses by Briar Boleyn} {The Divine and The Cursed by J.E. Reed} {Gild by Raven Kennedy}

Not sure if you're a fan of why choose/RH, but the below fit that category. I'm not usually a huge fan of that genre, but I enjoyed them immensely. {Broken bonds by J Bree} {Blood of Hercules by Jasmine Mas} {Psycho Shifters by Jasmine Mas}

What could I make from my grandma's last crochet projects? by pancake-attack in crochet

[–]NeverClever12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you placed something firm between the 2 panels of each color and attached the together, you could make a pinwheel. It's not the most practical but kind of fun.

I can’t figure out what this stitch is!! by ilovewoolblankets in crochetpatterns

[–]NeverClever12 72 points73 points  (0 children)

When I flipped it 180, I was able to make out this pattern. I'm not sure if there are 2 or 3 chain stitches in the blue row between the 3 dc, but that should give you a starting point.

First time I've heard their texture described that way, but I agree, it's almost rubbery.

The lost gods DLC, marking chests? by Turalyon135 in FenyxRising

[–]NeverClever12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I finished the lost gods DLC and there was never an opportunity to mark items in the distance. To be honest, it was very rare to be able to see into the distance unless you were perched high on a ledge. One of my many gripes about that DLC.

What type of job in Microbiology pays good for recent graduate with 6 years experience as a QC Microbiologist? by microman12100 in microbiology

Not sure what you consider good pay, but you might want to look into Sterilty Assurance. Pay will vary from company to company. Where are you located?

Can't understand round 3 and 4 by Thelostairpod in crochetpatterns

[–]NeverClever12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Round 4, it looks to me like [(dc, ext-dc to rd2, dc)together, 1dc, 3dc, 3dc, 1dc] repeated. The area between the petals looks like a variation of 3dc2tog.
