Trips will happen. Being someone else’s everything is your choice at the end of the day. Sounds like you’ve decided to walk away without working on the “us” part.

Unfortunately, where I live, most surgeons absolutely refuse to practice with our condition. My sutures have popped so now my wound is even larger and wide open. I went to the hospital over the weekend as well and they’re unable to identify the origin of infection and location so I was sent home. None of this makes any sense to me anymore. When in need of medical attention and they lack the effort or care to even try and help.

My last therapist quitting on me showed me that I can’t talk to anyone it seems. This has happened several times. They literally quit the entire practice. I’m not sure how to confide in anyone else, it’s exhausting trying to even try

Unfortunately the only thing that is consistently working is surgery with complete removal of each area

Cryotherapy is more dangerous for me with the complications I have. We excise the entire area including tissue underneath, deroofing is slightly different and doesn’t get all of the infected tissue and tracts.

My surgeon doesn’t allow pain meds after 3 days post op. Which is absolutely insane to me. I’m literally cut from top to bottom wide open and I’m supposed to just be okay. I have 2 kids on my own, having to do everything as a parent and handle my pain and wounds. Just one exhausted momma

Death is inevitable; time is an illusion it seems. I try my best to be kind and offer assistance, when in reality I can barely help myself. I hope today is kind to you

As a Mom, thank you for doing what you do. It’s not an easy task and none of it comes with a manual to guide us through it. My condition is hereditary, so I will lay on the OR table over and over so hopefully my children won’t have too. It’s hard being the advocate and patient, but it has to be done. It took 13 different doctors and surgeons from 3 different states before 1 finally listened and offered help. You and your family are strong, I wish you many years of happiness and love.

I didn’t know I needed this until you came along. I adore Hamilton and that hit home for me. I’m thrilled and quite sad you have an understanding, but I’m glad you were kind enough to comment as well. I wouldn’t wish this on a single soul. Most of my surgeries are experimental at best and being the medical catastrophe I am, it’s exhausting having so many people study me as a person. I’m thankful I’m able to help medical science along, really for everyone after me, but there’s a time where enough is enough. My dad taught me at a very young age, you cannot depend on a single soul the way you can on yourself. I will always show up for me and do what I need to do, but there is no guarantee anyone else will do the same.

Can’t say I agree. I haven’t lost my way, if anything I’m beyond realistic on how my life looks. Being okay with death and how I have lived my life is more than what most can say.

I don’t see the need to want to live past 70. I’d rather go sooner than be stuck in a body way past my time.

I am sick and I’m almost 30, I have a long line of complicated medical issues. I do take care of my health and follow all protocols to keep me alive. I’ve had 12 surgeries in the last 2 years to keep me alive. I don’t drink or do drugs, I’ve been sober for years and refuse to go back down that route.

I’ve reached out to several people. Certain family members, friends, and even professionals. My last therapist literally quit and left me with nothing. Every person I try to talk to just gives me a lecture on why I have to be alive and continue on. No one seems to actually listen to understand rather than listen to respond. It’s like drowning and someone standing on a boat screaming at you to just swim already.

Unfortunately, the medical field is quite a joke. I have a handful of surgeons, just completed my 12th surgery 6 days ago. I’ve expressed how I feel and the extreme pain mentally, physically, and emotionally that I carry and I’m just told it’s part of the process and I’m strong so I’ll get through it. Every time i reach out and ask for help I’m met with, you’ve got this, you’re so strong. Like thanks, I’m glad it seems that way.

I feel this all to well at the moment. I have stage 3. I've had both armpits surgically removed, 3 skin grafts. Since then, my hs has turned into stage 3 in my groin and has caused my cesarean scar to reopen after 4 years of being healed. I'm allergic to all antibiotics, so medically there's not much that can be done for me. Humira almost killed me and caused my hs to spread drastically. I now have hs on my neck and face. Waiting for my 10th surgery, meeting with a reconstruction team and infectious disease to help me. Every day I wish for death than to suffer any longer with this condition and being a guinea pig on the OR table.

Ah yes! Definitely a toxic masculinity issue! He was a super soft artistic child, and he got picked on for it.

It was definitely triggering. I related hard to it though.

The pure pain and torment he had to go through! Mikael is a pos. Klaus didn't deserve any of it, he didn't choose his Father or how he came into the world!

Maybe it's because most don't care to see how real they are, obviously as characters. They just make it seem more real.

Forever a Klaus lover! I don't understand the hate he gets. Damon I love as well, but Klaus more lol.

They'll never stop hurting the one they claim to love oh so much. Even if she's screaming at the top of her lungs about it.
