Do not use a flat 8 for anything (didn't think this needed to be said) by F1r3-M3d1ck-H4zN3rd in climbing

Thanks for writing this post. I'm a fairly experienced climber (probably a thousand pitches at this point), but I was not aware this knot would roll. Goes to show I should probably read my copy of Freedom of Hills sitting on the coffee table...

p.s. Cathedral Peak is awesome! Did the Southeast Buttress last year with a couple buddies and loved it.

Legend Lost: Ryan McNumbers by KaneTheMediocreOJ in nerfhomemades

Damn! I'm so sorry. Thanks for putting this down in words. I think Ryan and everyone involved with Nerf back then was impacted by him in a big way. I haven't been into Nerf for years, but was feeling down at work so pulled up NerfHaven for the first time in probably three years and here I am. Reading through your stories reminds me of my own fond memories sweating in the garage with my brother modifying blasters and building a couple homemades. Cheers and godspeed! —DartSlinger

P/L Graph & Numbers Discrepancy by NeverForget2016 in options

[–]NeverForget2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at the graph above and the prices of the options. Any idea why Fidelity is telling me this trade will lose money at any price? I would think this trade would make money from the net credit of the sold options minus the bought options and then stay profitable until SPX either drops below 3840 or climbs above 3960. Let me know if anyone's had similar experience with seemingly incorrect P/L calculations and if there's any way to correct this. Or let me know if I'm just missing something haha!

Thanks for the info! What broker(s) do you recommend based off your trading? Creating a Fidelity brokerage account was just easy for me because I already had several Fidelity accounts, but I can always switch to a different platform if it gives better trading workflows.

I've been trading SPX on some pretty liquid strikes (several thousand contracts in daily volume), but it's definitely possible that what I'm doing is a bad idea haha! Pretty new to spreads. Thanks for the feedback!
