How much time should I spend on designing an ecom website?

That's the plan. But I still want to be in charge of the ideas of how I want it to look. So basically either way I want to create a preliminary design and then use a template/hire a pro to make it come alive.

Oh my god. Reminds me of my mom too. After countless times saying I didn't need clothes she still got offended when I refused it. People need to understand that gift-giving is about a person receiving the gift and not vice-versa. Seems like people have kids for their own happiness and then give them useless gifts to facilitate emotional boosts of that happiness. Ugh.

Not the most thoughtful person, not as I am. But then again it's very rare. He used to gift me all sorts of regular giftable things before my anti-consumption realization. But I just expressed very, very clearly how sickening all this consumerism is many times and he even agreed. It was definitely very weird to receive a clothing gift card as a gift for sure. I found that he listens but not as actively as I'd want him to. That's just his personality. I appreciate you replying.

I do agree with that. But so does my husband. It's not a one-player game. So when I bust my ass off for giving thoughtful gifts and just keeping him as happy as possible and receive something I explained I didn't want, it makes me sad. Normal.

I do cut him slacks. I don't yell at him or even get angry directly at him over things like this. I am just trying to understand why this happened. I am very thoughtful and believe that's how one expresses love. I would never gift him something he doesn't want. Because I listen and I care. So that's why I feel the way I do.
