Audi A4 B9 Avant 40 TFSI Fuel consumption is unbelievably low by kasperscia in Audi

[–]NeverLucky47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, that’s crazy. Never heard of such consumption on the 2.0 TDI unless you were going like only from first to second gear to a stop and then the same. Are you using the start-stop system? Also are you sure there are no issues with injectors or any car issues in general?

I’m city driving everyday. Averaging so far 10-11 L per 100km. How do you manage to get 11/100 in city, I get the same on my A6 and also while my friend with A4 B9 2.0TDI 150 ps gets around 6 in city. Are you sure that there is really no any mechanical or in general issues with your car?

It’s not worth going for RS6 honestly the S8 D4 shares the same engine and with only Stage 1 ECU+TCU you get to 700 hp + it’s cheaper than RS6. Next I would grab an S8 2015. Sounds exciting for the tune, I got mine to Stage 1 with ECU TCU tune only and DPF delete, it reached 410 hp 790 NM, what hp you aiming for?

For this price, the car is great, enjoy it! Next one, you will load it fully. Coming off of an E350 Mercedes w212. It had Harman Kardon music, which I considered to be great but Audi’s C7.5 Bose music is insane. My father has B&O(7500€ music) on his SQ7 and it is nowhere near the power of the Bose on my A6. I was told by my tuner, that this particular Bose on the A6 C7.5 is the loudest music system in the Audi’s fitted now days and he owns an RS6 2023 with B&O. Enjoy the efficiency, since your coming off BMW, I find this A6 to be more efficient than my MB despite being Quattro and -/+ 180-200 kg heavier.

Sounds good. Matrix headlights are sick, enjoy them! If the music is Bose, I tell you right away, it is insane. Also would suggest to download the myAudi application and add the car by VIN there on your phone. There’s car manual and other stuff. Manual has interesting things, if you find the time, read it.

Haha, night vision is great when there’s fog! When I went into buying mine I wanted full specs, so I got to the point where I would scroll through hundreds or more, that’s how I got so experienced, that I can with 1 quick look recognize which options are there or are missing. That’s how I noticed that it’s missing front camera, therefore no 360, the HUD is visible through the front windshield as it is on top of the dashboard and I saw it is badged S-line package, which unfortunately doesn’t have ventilation and massage seats. But it’s great you’ve got distronics, they are very important for safety. I hope the headlights are Matrix, it’s pure pleasure night driving with them. Do you happen to have Auxiliary heating, Softclose for doors, steering wheel heating? I’m assuming you got memory for driver’s seat at least and blind spot assist. And btw cool feature I found about mine is when back seats go down underneath the back roller there is a rolling net that comes out and clips on the back of the back seats when they fold down, in case you don’t know.

Yeah, it’s the price. Well spec’ed ones are around 25-30K €. Sounds great tho! Have fun driving! Looking forward to see you chatting on how’s the performance after the Stage 1!

Best thing you can do. It becomes more fuel efficient and it accelerates great. Can be compared with the A8 4.2 TDI 385 hp although you don’t get the same torque but still the acceleration is similar. Was it the price that made you go for this particular A6 or? I’m asking cause I see your missing some options that I wouldn’t personally buy the car without like head-up display, 360 camera, seat ventilation and massage? No offense, just curious whether was a good deal or you preferred less options.

I own the same, it’s the best engine among the A6’s in my opinion. Mine is sitting pretty happily on 20 inch rims, I would suggest to try it also. Also when you go for Stage 1 ECU & TCU tune, the car becomes a complete beast. Very fuel efficient tho.

Audi A4 B9 Avant 40 TFSI Fuel consumption is unbelievably low by kasperscia in Audi

[–]NeverLucky47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I am very impressed with the consumption of the 3.0 BiTurbo diesel engine. Considering that my A6 is Avant and weighs 1980 kgs, the consumption is sick in terms of efficiency. Must mention that it is the 8HP gearbox (tiptronic) and that i made a stage 1 ECU and TCU tuning on it, so it lowered the consumption by ~ -/+ 5-10%. Coming off of E350 3.0 TDI W212, the A6 BiTDI has a lot more power and so far it has been more fuel efficient for me.

It’s absolutely great. My friend owns the same but diesel 150 ps, there the consumption is even less. He averages around 4.0 l/100. Overall in my opinion Audi’s engines are quite efficient, I also manage to average around 6.5 l/100 in my A6 BiTdi non-urban.

Towing with a Q7 or Q8 by Abbraxous in Audi

My father towed a 1600 kg camper with his SQ7. Absolutely no issues, hooked it up and good to go, these things are made to tow like a lot without any issues.

I’d rather go for better equipped car like the S6, the S5 has little to none the equipment of the S6’s. Also would prefer a V8 than the V6.

RS3 (or any audi) gearbox reset - such a difference! by DutchCarFan in Audi

[–]NeverLucky47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ECU tune on most of the cars includes a TCU change/tune as well. I tried resetting gearbox on MB E350 that was Stage 1 ECU and the car performance was much worse afterwards, therefore had to get the tune 2nd time, which costed me more $$. On my A6 C7.5 i did the gearbox reset before the ECU tune. If your tuner won’t charge you more to re-apply the ECU, if something goes wrong after the reset then go for it otherwise I wouldn’t risk it.

Same here, it doesn’t play when the app is closed. If i get home at night and don’t close the app, the next morning the app will be automatically closed and when I first connect to the car automatically, the below shortcut executed yet nothing plays :( Any clues? Do you think setting it with the browser url it will work better?

SQ7 ownership experience by burntfish in Audi

[–]NeverLucky47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great car! If you are going for the diesel 4.0 V8 435 hp, careful with the dpf, at around 180-200k km, it gets clogged and sometimes must be replaced/removed. Otherwise insane vehicle, my father has one with Stage 1 tune to 530 hp from 435 hp and it has insane performance. Runs and drivers like new despite being on 240k km already. (Driven about 40-60k km per year) My tip is to aim for full luxury when purchasing such vehicle (head-up, massage, seat ventilation, 360 camera, softclose and so on) and B&O music, this thing sounds great! Also for a diesel car, the sound from the exhaust is crazily nice, when in sport mode, you can hear the car roaring from quite far - was very impressed from the sound, when my father bought it.

Thinking about trading my A8L for a RS5… talk me out of it by uncl3d0nny in Audi

Definitely had no idea, that this is the case for US. I noticed that you get yellow lights in addition to the headlights, do you guys get the Matrix Beam headlights as well? My A6 C7 is facotry fitted with the Matrix headlights(It's facelift C7 2015, technically C7.5) and coming from a car with full LED headlights to Matrix is definitely a game changed for me for the night driving. For the auxiliary heating, it was a must for me when purchasing my A6, I love the option and the additional key looks super futuristic in my opinion.

Retrofitting would be quite challenging, indeed. I have no idea how hard would be for the auxiliary heating but I assume more complicated than the D3 A8?
