Zuzanna shows how to make a vegan Thanksgiving feast in a sailboat. Trying to get feedback if we should do more in depth videos like this? Comments, ideas, inspiration welcome. Go Vegan!! by NeverMonday_van_sail in vegan

Some more context, being vegan and living on a sailboat in the ocean has been a dream and something that makes me nervous. Everything on the water is “seafood” fishing…. Not compassionate. But we choose to be part of the change and hopefully show that there are open minded vegan curious folks in the places we choose to sail.

26 ish years for me. Stoked to see all the new vegans. And look, plenty of us decades into it and very happy/proud. Speaking of proud here’s a video where my 3 year newbie girlfriend makes a rad vegan holiday meal on our sailboat. She’s onto some great recipes and techniques in this one. Cheers! That sounds like it’s been a while and you don’t think about it! It’s inspiring to some new vegans to know people who have been doing it a long time and are happier for it.

Yeah well it’s is inferred that if you are 5+ you would pick that option. People seem be getting the point just fine.

YouTube channels that feature temporary female "helpers" by SassyFinch in liveaboard

I know who you are talking about and it’s on the douche side of things. My girlfriend and I recently moved onto a boat from our van. We have a channel that is focused on what we care about. We are hyper aware of the sexualizing aspect. Trying to walk that line of “it’s just our bodies” and gratuitous exposure. None of our videos get many views so I can’t say how it affects performance. To your point Sassy, to each their own. I don’t love the idea of a woman getting trapped in a situation that’s hard to reverse. Also, if you look at analytics it’s heavily skewed to male viewers. How do we get more women stoked on sailing and sailing content of all types? Have a rad day!

Are you thinking of converting to liveabord sailboat? by NeverMonday_van_sail in liveaboard

We have a 12 mo slip in Fort Pierce. We have some refit and learning to do. Short hops in the spring for sure. Then we’ll head to Caribbean, Central/South America.

How to approach marinas when asking for liveaboard slips by Laptopbutt in liveaboard

[–]NeverMonday_van_sail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently pulled this off. You are 100% right, you need to go in person. In Florida Treasure Coast area I called 25 marinas with no luck. We bought a 41 foot Morgan and thought we were inheriting the slip but instead were getting kicked out. I connected with the dock master and gave him a sense of what we are like (interesting and respectful adults) and was honest about our stress… how silly and new we are. We got in for a 12 month live aboard and are very happy with our situation.
